Benjamin "Ben" Rosenfield (born August 1, 1992) is an American actor and singer best known for playing Willie Thompson on HBO's period crime drama series Boardwalk Empire (2013-2014).
He performed in Teenage (2013), Henry Ellis in the musical drama Song One (2014), Fisher Miller in the romantic drama 6 Years (2015), and Bertram Flusser in the period drama Indignation (2016).

Early life
Rosenfield was born in Montclair, New Jersey. Stephen Rosenfield, his father, is a stand-up comedian and the founder of the American Comedy Institute in New York City. Kate Redway Rosenfield, his mother, is an actor who teaches improv. Nate is Rosenfield's younger brother. Despite his family's atheism, he is Jewish and has stated that he "used to be very religious." His ancestors came from Ukraine, Romania, Denmark, and Scotland.
Rosenfield attended Glenfield Middle School, where he portrayed Tevye in an eighth-grade production of Fiddler on the Roof. In 2010, he attended and graduated from Montclair High School.
Career
Rosenfield made his stage debut in the Off-Broadway version of Through a Glass Darkly, alongside Carey Mulligan and Chris Sarandon. In the drama film Greetings from Tim Buckley (2012), Rosenfield was cast as Tim Buckley in August of the same year. Penn Badgley and Imogen Poots appeared in the film's main roles. He appeared in Teenage and joined the cast of Boardwalk Empire in the recurring role of Willie Thompson, Eli's (Shea Whigham) son. He was promoted to a series regular for the fifth and final seasons. Rosenfield co-starred in Jamesy Boy (2014) and Song One (2014) before landing his first leading role in the film Affluenza (2014), which also stars Grant Gustin and Nicola Peltz. Rosenfield appeared in a supporting role in the crime drama A Most Violent Year in 2014, opposite Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac.

In 2017, Rosenfield portrayed Alex Holmes in the Simon Stephens' On the Shore of the Wide World's premiere. He appeared in The Long Dumb Road comedy film, re-teaming with director Hannah Fidell.
