Personal life

Career
When he was five years old, Baek Sung-hyun made his acting debut in the 1994 film I Wish for What Is Forbidden to Me. The child actor grew up on film, appearing in many MBC series, including See and See Again in 1998 and Ajumma (also known as Housewife's Rebellion) in 2000. He appeared in dramas including Damo (2003), Emperor of the Sea (2004), and Stairway to Heaven (2004), the last of his breakout role as he reached his teenage years. Critics lauded his performance, which seemed more mature and romantic for his age.
Baek was originally planned to appear in King and the Clown and The Happy Life before being reunited with Lee in Blades of Blood (2010).
