Armeena Rana Khan, a Pakistani film and television actress and model, is a Pakistani television actress and singer.

She has been nominated for a Lux Style Award, a Hum Award, and a Nigar Award for Pakistan's most popular actresses.

Khan is the most well-known actress in the Urdu entertainment industry, with the majority of her television series in which she has appeared.

"Best Asian Women" was awarded the Women Empowerment Award by the Pakistan Achievement Awards in 2016 by Eastern Eye, and she received a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Manchester.

Khan appeared in a few months and later made her acting debut with the British short film Writhe, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, making her the first Pakistani actress to attend the festival.

Early life and background

Khan was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Pakistani parents. Her father is a businessman, and her mother is a homemaker. She has two siblings, one elder and a younger. Khan is of Pashtun and Punjabi origins. Khan completed her education in Toronto, but the family later moved to Manchester, where she obtained an Honors degree in Business Administration. She studied method acting at the Ealing Studios and the Pinewood Studios later. According to the actress, she has dual citizenship in Pakistan and Canada. Khan is fluent in English and Urdu, as well as Arabic, and he is able to read Arabic.

Khan's first acting role came in the British short film "Writhe," in which Khan played a serial killer. The film was nominated for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Khan claimed to be the first Pakistani actress to walk at Cannes in 2013. Stranger Within Me, a short film that was later shown at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, was she then appeared in another short film named Stranger Within Me. Khan appeared alongside Azfar Rehman in the sitcom Happily Married, which premiered on ARY Digital in 2013. Khan's first serious acting appearances were also broadcast in 2013 with the airing of Shab-e-Arzu ka Alam, in which she plays the lead role alongside Mohib Mirza. But it was the television series Muhabbat Ab Nahi Hugi that proved to be a breakthrough for her, and for which she was also nominated for Hum Awards 2015.
