Antonio Rüdiger (born 3 March 1993) is a German professional footballer who plays for Chelsea and the Germany national team as a Centre back. He started his career at VfB Stuttgart, representing the Reserves in three different nations.

Club career
Rüdiger made his VfB Stuttgart II debut on July 23, 2011. Liga vs. Arminia Bielefeld. Rüdiger's Bundesliga debut in a home professional match against Borussia Mönchengladbach was interrupted by Raphael Holzhauser in the 79th minute of a 3–0 loss.
Rüdiger's deal with Stuttgart lasted until June 2017. In the 74th minute of a 2–0 home loss to Greuther Fürth, he was given a red card on May 4th. Rüdiger played in the final of the DFB Pokal on June 1st, losing 3–2 against Bayern Munich.
