Early life
Anne-Marie was born in 1991 and raised in East Tilbury, Essex, on April 7th. Her father, a builder and handyman, is from the East End of London, whereas her mother, a teacher, is from Essex. Anne-Marie is a black belt in Shotokan karate, and she began learning karate lessons at the age of nine. She captured Gold and Silver in the 2002 Funakokan Karate Association World Championships, Gold and Silver, and Bronze in the United Kingdom Traditional Karate Federation National Championships. Career
"Summer Girl," Anne-Marie's solo demo for Rocket Records in 2013. In the interim, her solo career was stalled for her to express herself as an artist; in the interim, she appeared on tracks by Magnetic Man, Gorgon City, and Raized by Wolves, drawing Rudimental's attention; one of Rudimental's left, and they've requested Anne-Marie to replace her.
