Anna Falchi (Italian pronunciation: [anna falki]; born Anna Kristiina Palomäki; 22 April 1972) is a Finnish-Italian model and film actress.
Career
Anna Kristiina Palomäki was born in Tampere, Finland, the daughter of an Italian father, Benito (Tito) Falchi, and Finnish mother Kaarina. Saro is her brother and Peter, a half-brother in Sweden, is her father. She and her family moved to Italy in 1978, where she began her modelling career. In 1992, Falchi first appeared in a commercial for an Italian bank. Paolo Villaggio appeared in the ad and was directed by Federico Fellini. This helped her start a film career, beginning with Nel continente nero (in the black Continent) in 1993.
Falchi appeared in many films since, including the 1994 film The Dragon Ring, the 1997 film La Princessa e il povero, and the 2005 film Nessun messaggio in sessu. She has also appeared on television, hosting numerous specials on Italian television.
Falchi is less well-known in the English-speaking world. Some people recognize her as the leading female role in the film Dellamorte Dellamore, which was released in the United States as Cemetery Man.
Falchi was a guest on Satyricon's late-night television show Satyricon in 2001, where she paroded one of Madonna's late-night shows during which Madonna yelled Letterman for refusing to smell her panties. Falchi's red panties were actually on display on stage, and the host, Daniele Luttazzi, went all out of her way to smell them, causing some controversy in Italy.
