Angelica Hale (born July 31, 2007) is an American child actress.

She appeared in America's Got Talent's 12th season as the runner up.

Darci Lynne was disqualified.

She appeared on "Live in America's Got Talent: The Champions" for the first season, where she was also recognized by Howie Mandel for her role on "Fight Song."

Early life

Angelica Hale was born in Atlanta, Georgia, to American father James Hale and Filipina mother Eva Bolando on July 31, 2007.

Hale's right lung suffered persistent scarring after she was four years old, causing septic shock and multiple organ failure, including her kidneys. She was rushed from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston and put on ECMO life-support. After 12 days in the hospital and 80 days in recovery, she was released on April 24, 2012. Hale received a life-saving kidney transplant from her mother on September 13, 2013.

Hale began taking singing lessons with vocal coach Tara Simon in Alpharetta, Georgia, shortly after. She has since won a singing competition for five to nine years, as well as numerous charitable organizations, including Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

Hale has a younger sister, Abigail, who was born in Santa Monica in 2017 while competing on AGT.

Career

Hale made it to the auditions round of America's Got Talent in 2017, where she performed "Rise Up" by Andra Day. Hale was awarded a golden buzzer by guest judge Chris Hardwick after covering Alicia Keys' "Girl on Fire" and moving immediately. She sang "Clarity" by Zedd and Foxes in the quarterfinals and "Without You" by David Guetta for her Semifinals appearance during live broadcasts. Hale qualified to the top ten finals, where she performed "Symphony" by Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson. Kelly Clarkson performed "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" in episode 22, as well as fellow contestant Kechi Okwuchi. Hale finished in second place behind Darci Lynne, becoming the youngest runner-up in the show's history.

Hale was a finalist on America's Got Talent: The Champions, earning a gold buzzer from judge Howie Mandel shortly after her appearance of Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" in the summer. She was ranked in the bottom seven of the top 12 countries.

Hale performed in Tuckahoe, New York, for a crowd of 7,000 people, just after America's Got Talent. She became the first child ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation. Darci Lynne, Light Balance, and Preacher Lawson were among the AGT live shows in Las Vegas from November 2 to 5. In addition, Hale appeared at the 2017 NFL game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Dallas Cowboys in Atlanta. On December 11, 2017, Heinz Field for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens featured the national anthem. At the 2017 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Hale performed "Girl on Fire" as a host. She appeared on Celebrity Fight Night with David Foster and on Little Big Shots in March 2018. On March 29, 2018, the Ottawa Senators in the National Hockey League invited her to play both the Star-Spangled Banner and O Canada at the start of a match against the Florida Panthers. Hale performed the National Anthem in Atlanta on October 8, 2018 during the Atlanta Braves vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers Game 4 of the National League Division Series. Hale performed "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" from her Christmas album Christmas Wonder in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 16, 2018. Hale was training with Tara Simon, the country's best vocal coach.

Hale's debut single "Feel the Magic," an eleven-year-old singer-songwriter's own pop song. On YouTube and Facebook, the song's music video premiered in May 2019. Hale, as a recording artist, likes to perform and sing about her personal experiences. It was her personal experience that inspired her to write her debut single.

Hale appeared on stage with TNT Boys in April 2019.

On July 4, 2019, she appeared live on PBS' annual PBS special, A Capitol Fourth.

Hale shot American Reject, her first film, in New Orleans, Louisiana, over the summer of 2018. In 2019, the target launch date was set.

In addition, she played the titular role in the animated film Maya Unstoppable, which premiered in 2019.

Hale was chosen national spokesperson for Sepsis Alliance's "It's About TIME" campaign in the spring of 2018, which raises concerns for sepsis as a medical emergency.
