Andrew Aaron Mineo (born April 17, 1988) is an American Christian hip hop musician, producer, song manager, and video producer based in New York City.

He has joined Reach Records and his collaborative venture Miner League.

In addition to his solo career, he is a member of Reach Records' hip hop group 116 Clique. Mineo, a native of Syracuse, New York, served as a producer in high school at Henninger High School in Upstate New York and joined the hip-hop group Fat Camp, according to Syracuse University's Marshall Street Records.

He realized his inability spiritual condition, re-dedicted his life to Christ, and closed down his production company in order to resurrect his career.

Sin is Wack's first mixtape in 2009 and he's developed T.R.U.C.E. where he met long-time colleagues and collaborators Alex Medina, Wordsplayed, Rich Perez, and others.

Andy started collaborating on "Background," a record that would later be published on Lecrae's Rehab album, and was Andy's first introduction to Reach Records in 2011.

Andy joined Reach Records and unleashed Heroes for Sale, a full-length studio collection, on April 16, 2013.

He released Never Land, an EP, on January 28, 2014.

Uncomfortable, his sophomore album, was released on September 18, 2015. Andy began building his own artistic venture, Miner League and signed Wordsplayed, as well as L.A.-based alternative artist Willow Stephens, who appeared on Uncomfortable's "Strange Motions" track.

Wordsplayed and Willow Stephens' self-titled EP were released in 2016. The first project from the initiative, Clowntown, was launched in 2016 and followed by Willow Stephens' self-titled EP.

In 2017, Miner League and Reach Records joined to produce Andy Mineo & Wordsplayed Present Magic & Bird, a collaborative mixtape. "Saturday Morning Car-Tunez," "League Chumps Season 1," and co-direction on several of his own music videos are among his television and television appearances.

As a producer, his collection includes tracks from his self-released "In My City" album, Formerly Known, Saturday Morning Car-Tunez, and Heroes for Sale.

He produced the single "Destiny" by Sheena Lee, and he and rapper Derek Minor helped with the production of Lecrae's "Power Trip," which featured Andy Mineo, Derek Minor, and Sho Baraka from the album Gravity.

Early life

Mineo was raised in a single-parent home in Syracuse, New York. Mineo went to a Summer camp where his sister served as a counselor and was introduced to the faith and his life had changed. Mineo converted into high school but without Christian sponsorship, and he soon drifted away from his faith. Mineo started selling studio time out of his house while attending high school and began recording equipment. He had forged a friendship with Chris "Oxburg" Leonard, and the pair recorded a song together in 2001.

Personal life

After their wedding in April, Andy Mineo married Cristina Delgado on August 23, 2014.

He lived in Washington Heights and is close friends with his mentors Alex Medina and Rich Perez, who are also frequent art collaborators with Mineo. Mineo, a founder of the Christ Crucified Fellowship, of which Perez is the head pastor, was a deacon who took over deacon duties because of his music career's increasing success. Mineo and his partner, Cristina, recently moved to Atlanta, which he says is more in tune with his burgeoning music career.

Mineo, along with Leonard, formed a rap group named Fat Camp, which later won a song competition for WJPZ-FM and signed to Syracuse University's Marshall Street Records after graduating from The City College of New York (CCNY). When said artists performed at the University, the group welcomed major acts such as Jadakiss, The Roots, and Common, as well as underground artists such as Immortal Technique and Dead Prez. The Food band formed and released a studio album in 2006.

Mineo discovered the urban evangelism campaign T.R.U.C.E. in his first year of college. Mineo decided to close his studio and rededicate his life to Christ after hearing the song "Price Tag" by Da'T.H.H. He also left Fat Camp, which then disbanded. Despite being a Christian, he does not identify as a "Christian rapper" because the word puts off certain people.

Mineo went on tour with T.R.U.C.E. following the closing of his studio. Sin is Wack, his first mixtape, has debuted. In an interview, Mineo discussed how he came up with the idea of the "Sin is Wack" title in connection with his T.R.U.C.E. Mineo appeared on Rehab's "Background" and "Reverse" from Tedashii's 2011 album "Reality" following this launch. Mineo's first attempt at singing "Background" was his first attempt at singing, and after the success of the album, he received repeated calls. Mineo launched Saturday Morning Car-Tunez, a 4-episode web series that featured him remixing classic hip-hop hits. The remixed songs were released as a free download. Mineo and Lecrae performed at the Apple Store in SoHo, New York, on July 17 to celebrate Lecrae's 6th studio album, Gravity. Mineo appeared in the 2012 God Belongs in My City Concert tour with Anthony Shepherd & The Roar and Sheena Lee in August. He also appeared in the 2012 Kingdom Choice Awards, as well as Swoope and Bizzle. Mineo toured from October to November on the Unashamed 2012: Come Alive tour. A recap of their time in Atlanta, Mineo and Wordsplayed's song, "Dunk Contest," was a recap of their lives.

I: the Arrow, Mineo's longest play, was released on April 27, 2018. Mineo said he was "uncertain [of] when [he] started to feel trapped in this cloud or when it will end, but [he] knew] there [were] others who felt the same." "Family Photo" and "Anxiety" were two of his electronic band Weathrman's songs, as well as "Anxiety."
