Personal life
DJ Zinhle, a singer from Forbes, started dating at the end of 2014. Zinhle reflected on their friendship by tweeting "Congratulations to my winner." Kairo Olwethu Forbes, the couple's daughter, was born on August 8, 2015. Forbes and Zinhle split in August 2015 after it was revealed that Forbes allegedly cheated on Zinhle with television presenter Bonang Matheba. Forbes and Matheba denied the charges as they revealed their relationship in 2016. In December 2017, Forbes and Matheba were born. However, Forbes and Zinhle got together in late 2018, but later in 2019 they broke up again.
Forbes published a snapshot on Instagram announcing his dating to Nelli Tembe, a 21-year-old man. Tembe died as a result of a fall from a hotel in Cape Town on April 11th, 2021.
Forbes had been on drugs at the time of his fiancé's death, Nellie Thembe's. Since a couple's time in prison, Forbes released a public statement in response, stating that he would not be drawn into revealing their problems as a couple to defend himself against "one-sided views." The rapper's remarks came after a News24 article revealed that he had been seen using his hands to violently break down a wooden door to enter the bedroom in their apartment in Bryanston, Johannesburg, where Tembe was hiding. The incident occurred on March 13, 2021, just over a month before her death.
Nadia Nakai and Forbes, a fellow musician, came out as a couple in early 2022 and have since been boasting about their marriage with vacations, blogs, and public records about their friendship. Since Nakai was his long time adversary Cassper Nyovest's signee to his record name Family Tree Records, people had a lot to say.
Life and career
Entity, a hip hop band formed by Forbes in 2002 alongside his two colleagues Vice Versa and Greyhound, formed the Entity group. The group was nominated for the Best African Hip Hop category in the KORA Awards. In 2006, the entity was disbanded, prompting Forbes to investigate sound engineering. Forbes co-founded The I.V League in 2006 with two other participants. Khuli Chana, ProKid, and JR were among the artists whose work was made by the I.V League. He released three songs in 2009, including "In My Walk," "I Do," and "Mistakes."
Forbes' "I Want It All" is the lead single from his debut studio album, Altar Ego, on July 28, 2010. "All I Know" and "Vivictory Lap" were two singles that were not released on the album, as well as "Victory Lap." "Victory Lap" was a huge success, despite the fact that it topped South African local radio charts. Alter Ego was then announced on August 23, 2011. RiSA awarded the album a gold medal for its commercial success. Several accolades have been given to the album, including Best Hip Hop Album 2011 and Best Male Artist of the Year in 2012.
On June 30, Forbes' second album, Levels, was released. Four singles accompanied the album: "Jealousy," "Kontrol" (featuring Da L.E.S. ), "Congratulate," and "Run Jozi (Godly)" which includes KO and Yanga. The album was released platinum for 2014 and double platinum for 2018 by RiSA.
Forbes announced "The World Is Yours," his debuting single on his forthcoming third album, on December 2nd. Forbes engaged Anatii, a closely associated group, in composing a joint album, Be Careful What You Want is the delay of its publication. Be aware of what you want for was revealed on July 28, 2017, with encouraging feedback from critics. Three singles, "10 Fingers," "Don't Forget To Pray," and "Holy Peak," all supported it.
Forbes also pre-released songs including "Caiphus Song," "Star Signs" (featuring Stogie T) and "Sweet Fire") in support of his third album, Touch My Blood, prior to its debut in 2016. Forbes took to Twitter to announce a fight for graphic designers in arranging the artwork for his album, citing his striking face portrait. Forbes selected Taonga, who received an internship with Beam Group, out of many entries. He released the unpopular single "Beyonce" on his website before it was announced, as a sarcastic song dedicated to his ex partner Bonang Matheba. Touch My Blood was set to launch on May 25, 2018, but it was postponed due to a delay in establishing its brand. The album was first named platinum and RiSA later designated double platinum as for 2019. Touch My Blood's sixth single "Fela in Versace" starring Kiddominant received more commercial success than the other singles. L-Tido, JR, Yanga Chief, Stogie T, Kwesta & Okmalkat, as well as a single international appearance by Nigerian artist and producer Kiddominant, are among the album's guest appearances.
