Silva, a resident of Associaçs local Associaçô, spent two seasons in Paçô, before he began to host the A.R.C.Paçô – Adrien Silva Tournament, which takes place every June.

Silva spent six years in the Sporting CP academy, winning four national and three regional championships. He was scouted by Chelsea along with Portugal under-16 players Ricardo Fernandes and Fábio Ferreira, and the three players arrived at the English club's facilities in January 2005. Sporting lodged a FIFA lawsuit that Chelsea did not follow the correct procedures, and Silva stayed with Sporting, though Fernandes and Ferreira later moved to London.

Silva signed his first professional deal in March 2007, committing to a five-year contract with Sporting. He was officially named by manager Paulo Bento to the main squad in July after spending the last two months of the season with the reserve team. In a 4–0 victory over FC Dynamo Kyiv on August 17, he made his Primeira Liga debut on August 17th, playing as a late replacement in several league and European games. In a 2–1 victory at C.S., he got off to his first appearance in the league. Martimo deprecio.

Silva triumphed over Bolton Wanderers in the 2007–08 UEFA Cup on both legs. In the 5–3 victory over S.L. on April 16, he began his reign in the 5–3 victory. Benfica was forced to be recalled after just 35 minutes in what was the last of his 15 appearances of the season.

Silva failed for minutes in his first year in 2008-09. He appeared in his first match, against Associaço Naval 1o de Maio, who was 1–0 down, playing 16 minutes off the bench for the first time. He got off to a 3-0 home win over Martimo in the Taça da Liga, and he also made Bento's starting XI three months later in the Lions' 1–7 loss to FC Bayern Munich in the Champions League second leg. He made 19 appearances in all sports, most notable for his full 90 minutes in home victories over C.F. Estella da Amadora and C.D. Nacional.

Silva scored his first goal in a 2009–10 UEFA Europa League group stage match against Hertha BSC, the match-winner, who was also sent off after receiving his second yellow card in injury time. He made news in the Portuguese media on November 28, 2009, when he covered the most distance of any Sporting celebrity, having travelled over 10,049 meters (6.244 mi). Coach Carlos Carvalhal started him in 13 of the team's next 15 games, but he eventually fell out of favour as Sporting went on to finish in fourth place with 48 points, the club's lowest point total since the 1992-1993 campaign.

Silva was revealed on June 27, 2010, after which it was announced that he would be joining Israeli side Maccabi Haifa F.C. On a season-long loan agreement. Pini Zahavi, the player's agent who is based in Tel Aviv, facilitated the transfer. He made his debut with his new club in the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying round tie against FC Dinamo Minsk on July 29th; he had never competed in the Israeli Premier League before, but was a regular in the Toto Cup.

Silva had been reported in January 2011 that he was considering going back to Portugal to regain match fitness. He told daily sports newspaper A Bola, "Returning to Portugal is a possibility that I like a lot because it can be tracked more closely." "I don't have a lot of fame in Israel"; Académica de Coimbra's six-month loan was confirmed three days later.

Silva found the net in his first appearance with the Students, who were defeated 1–2 away against S.C. Olhanense. He was used less often in games with U.D., but now due to injury – he broke his fifth metatarsal in his right foot. Leiria's spring, when he was sidelined for the remainder of the season, was a failure.

Sporting and Académica extended the loan for a second season on July 5, 2011. Silva scored his first career brace in a 4–0 home victory over C.D. on September 26, fully recovered from his injury. Feirense: In the fourth round of the Portuguese Cup, he scored his team's second in a 3–0 win over Porto, earning another double against Leixe SC (5–2 after extra time) on November 19. He played the full 90 minutes in the final, defeating Sporting by a 1–0 loss of Sporting, which saw the Coimbra side lift their first domestic cup in 73 years.

Silva was named Player of the Year by the club on November 28, 2013, just shy of returning to Sport. In the 2014–15 season, he had his career-best ten competitive goals, as well as assisting the team in winning the Portuguese Cup finals.

In August 2016, Silva revealed in a talk with Portuguese newspaper O Jogo that Leicester City was interested in signing him. However, a contract could not be reached on the deadline day, as Sporting wanted the club to pay his £38.5 million release fee. He returned to Lisbon on October 1st, 2017 and wished his former fans a good bye's 0–0 draw with FC Porto.

Sporting has agreed a £22 million fee for Silva to relocate to Leicester City, pending international clearance. The information relating to his transfer did not reach FIFA until 14 seconds after the deadline; therefore, he was ineligible to play for the club until the next transfer window. Leicester decided against appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport because it was made clear to them that "FIFA will not endorse an expedited process," not to mention his appeals; in a interview with The Guardian in March 2018, he said it was "a very bad call" by FIFA to uphold his ban.

Silva was officially registered on January 1st. in a 3–0 victory over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on the same day as a late replacement. He was given the number 14 jersey, referring to his transfer difficulties. Jamie Vardy came on for Jamie Vardy in the 89th minute and was credited with Riyad Mahrez's goal in stoppage time in a 2–0 loss of Watford on January 20th.

Silva failed for game time under new coach Claude Puel, who had not played a single league match since August 2018. He made only five appearances in all sports, but he was not selected in the squad for a league match after September 22. The former manager's father, who accused the former of wrongfully "picking on his son," reacted angrily "picking on his son."

Silva joined AS Monaco FC on January 31, 2019, coached by his compatriot Leonardo Jardim, with youri Tielemans moving in the opposite direction. In the 2–1 home win over Toulouse FC on February 2nd, he made his Ligue 1 debut on February 2nd, playing 18 minutes in the 2–1 victory.

Despite a change in Leicester's manager prior to 2019-20, Silva was still informed that he was allowed to leave the club. On August 23, 2019, he returned to Monaco on another loan. In 22 appearances before the season was abruptly ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Silva's future "will be out of here" during a pre-match press conference ahead of the 2020–21 campaign, according to Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers. When the former's career was ended, a financial deal was reached in October 2020 to bring an end to him, he decided to move to Washington, D.C. Sampdoria is a fictional character from The Sing of Sampdoria. The Italian club announced his transfer to a two-year contract just short of.

He appeared at the Tournoi du Val-de-Marne, a youth squad, and was banned from participating in all three group stage matches by the Portuguese Football Federation. He competed for the 2007 European Championship under-17 team, but he didn't make it to the elite round because the team eventually fell short of qualifying.

Silva will be competing in the 2007 Meridian Cup (for under-18 players) as the country's sole representative, according to the Portuguese Federation, who said he was "very proud to represent Portugal in a European selection." However, prior to the game, he sustained an injury and was then replaced by compatriot Romeu Ribeiro.

Silva was limited to just seven appearances with the Portuguese under-19s due to his increased involvement with Sporting's first squad. He scored his first goal in the age group against the Republic of Ireland on November 6, 2007; despite a 2–1 victory, Portugal failed to progress beyond the elite stages.

Silva was given his first call up to the under-21 team under coach Rui Caçador on February 5, 2009, for a friendly match against Switzerland that was played five days later. He started and played 78 minutes before being recalled in a 3–1 victory. He was a regular participant in the 2011 European Championships, appearing in five out of nine games and scoring in a 1–1 draw to Macedonia.
