Life and career

The priest and his four children are married to Nicole Chesterman Kircher, and they have four children.

When applying to Toi Whakaari, the New Zealand Drama School, the religion lied about his age, so he was only 18 when he graduated two years later. In 1976, he obtained a Diploma in Acting.

Kircher shifted his attention away from acting to producing, singing, and executive leadership in the late 1990s. In 2003, he joined ScreenAdventures, a film company. In 2006, he appeared in the film Out of the Blue, which was based on the true story of the Aramoana massacre. In the film adaptations of The Hobbit as the dwarf Bifur.
