Paytas was born in Riverside, California, on May 8, 1988, before heading to Illinois. She has two siblings; an older brother and a younger, maternal half-sister. Paytas went from Illinois to California at the age of 15, and they were enrolled in a Catholic online school program. At the age of 16, she returned to Illinois to live with her mother, Pepino, Illinois.
Personal life
Paytas has had several public long-term relationships. From 2017 to 2019, she dated American YouTuber Jason Nash. In 2020, she began dating Israeli artist Moses Hacmon. In 2021, the two became engaged the same year and married in the United States. Paytas revealed that she was expecting her first child with Hacmon in February 2022. She had previously been told by her doctors that she would not be able to reproduce a child naturally. In September 2022, she gave birth to a daughter. Paytas has had various religious convictions throughout her life, most likely Roman Catholicism.
Paytas has suffered from mental illness since being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Paytas said she used to have heroin use issues and was even hospitalized after a methamphetamine overdose. Paytas has reported that the main drug she used was prescription pills.

Paytas began doing lingerie modeling and worked as a stripper and an escort to assist herself after relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting. She appeared on various television shows, including attempting and failing to crack the fastest-talker record on Guinness World Records Unleashed, as well as The Greg Behrendt Show and Who Wants to Be a Superhero.
