Tripp Eisen Career

Career

Dope was founded in 1997, when Eisen met with brothers Edsel and Simon Dope. Eisen brought along a friend Preston Nash to play drums, and the band performed on the New York City club circuit. Dope went from bass guitar to lead guitar on a Flip/Sony album in 1998, and Eisen went from bass guitar to lead guitar, bringing Acey Slade—who had first mentioned Eisen to Dope a few years ago—to play bass.

The band toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada after the album "Felons and Revolutionaries" (1999), including Sevendust, Kid Rock, Static-X, Slipknot, Disturbed, Fear Factory, Staind, and Alice Cooper. Eisen met Wayne Static and Joey Jordyson, with whom he would continue to work. Eisen appeared on "Sick" and "Everything Sucks" and gained a lot of attention for his wild antics and stage demeanor. He left the band in late 2000, accusing frontman Edsel Dope of refusing to record his guitar parts in order to avoid paying him royalties.

The debut album attracted more than 250,000 copies.

Eisen joined after Joey Jordison's "Rejects" tour in 1995. The band renamed themselves and announced their debut Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls under the name Murderdolls the same year, after touring as the Rejects from 2002. Eisen left the band in 2002 and was replaced by Dope bandmate Acey Slade, citing differences between touring plans and his work with Static-X.

After the departure of guitarist Koichi Fukuda, Eisen joined the band Static-X in the year 2000. He contributed to the band's sophomore album Machine's recording, as well as the subsequent releases Shadow Zone and Start a War.

Eisen has confirmed that a few tracks on the 2020 Static-X album Project Regeneration Vol. He and Wayne Static co-wrote one. He went on to accuse the band of attempting to change the songs in order to deny him songwriting credit, as well as point out that a legal lawsuit brought against the band was the catalyst for the band's demise. Eisen had no involvement in the album's development beyond compositional credits from his time in the band, according to a fan on Instagram.

Face Without Fear, Eisen's latest initiative, was announced in April 2019 by a brief promotional video. Ken "Mantis" Hoyt (Crushpile) on vocals, TJ Cooke (Methodical) on drums, Dante on rhythm guitar, and Nick Sledge on bass; the group also includes Nick Sledge on bass. In June 2019, the band's first album, "Deliverance," was released. In August 2019, FWF made their live debut at QXT, New Jersey, in August. In March 2020, the band performed their first livestream show in June 2020. "My Parasite" was their second single and performed at their first livestream function.
