Tom Van Landuyt (born 7 May 1967) is a Belgian actor and singer best known for his role as Tom Smiths in the Belgian drama film Ad Fundum.
He has appeared in many Flemish films, television series, and on stage.
In 2002, he married Angela Schijf, a Dutch actress.
Early life
Van Landuyt was born in Leuven, Belgium. He was in preparation for actor at Hoger Institut voor Dramatische Kunsten (HIDK - Studio Herman Teirlinck) in Antwerp, where he graduated with honors in 1992.
Career
He appeared in Ad Fundum, in 1992, and he produced four songs for the motion picture soundtrack, including a duet with English female singer-songwriter Sam Brown.
He appeared at the KNS in 1995 for his first Shakespeare (Koninklijke Nederlandse Schouwburg, the Royal Theatre Company in Antwerp) and debuted his first solo album Pig Party (songwriter, actor, and producer).
He was a member of the NTG (Nedelands Toneel Gent, the Royal Theatre Company in Ghent), where he appeared in A Clockwork Orange, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Peter Pan, Spring Awakening, etc. from 1997 to 2000.
He worked with Belgian theatre director Ivo van Hove in Amsterdam's production (Rent) of Dutch theatrical company Joop van den Ende.
He wrote, performed, and recorded a Dutch album named Man Zo Nu En Dan in 2009. He produced and directed the music video "Blanke Maagd" and "Vrijheid" in the same year.
He founded Naastdeburen with his wife, Dutch actress Angela Schijf in 2013.
