Teo Lucas Halm (born May 18, 1999) is an American actor, songwriter and record producer.

He co-wrote Latin Grammy-winning song "Con altura" by Rosalía (featuring J Balvin) and two songs from the Grammy-nominated album The Lion King: The Gift: "Mood 4 Eva" performed by Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Childish Gambino, and "Scar", performed by 070 Shake and Jessie Reyez.

Halm starred in the 2014 movie Earth to Echo and has roles in the independent feature films Memoria and Spiral Farm.

Life and career

Teo Halm was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother's family is from France and Morocco, and his father, who is of British and Czech descent, is from Australia.

Halm grew up performing in theater, appearing in The Sound of Music and The Music Man's revivals. A 2009 episode of PBS series Nova and an UCLA alumni fundraising effort were among his first professional credits. He appeared in a few short films in the years that followed. He was cast in a supporting role in James Franco's scripted Bukowski, an independent film version of Ham on Rye; however, the film was not released due to a copyright problem. Halm appeared in the pilot of the Disney Channel Boy Meets World sequel as Elliot, the son of Cory and Topanga; his character was also cut from the film after the pilot was fired.

Halm appeared in the 2014 sci-fi fantasy film Earth to Echo, for which he received top honors. The film premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was announced in theaters in July 2014. Halm's role as Alex received the Best Actor Award at the ninth annual PICK Awards. He was a supporting lead role in the film Memoria, which premiered at the Austin Film Festival in 2015 and later released in North America in 2016, and the film Camp stars Joey King and Nolan Gould. Halm appeared in the independent film Spiral Farm in 2018, when it premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival in January 2019, where it was nominated for Best Narrative Feature.

Halm has performed as a recording engineer and songwriter, and he has regularly collaborated with producers Michael Uzowuru, Frank Dukes, and Mark Ronson. He was selected to Billboard's 21 Under 21 list of writers and producers in 2019, having co-written the Latin Grammy-winning song "Con Altura" by Rosalia (featuring J Balvin) and co-writing and co-producing "Mood 4 Eva" by Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Childish Gambino, as well as the Grammy-nominated album The Lion King: The Gift in 2019. Teo was selected as a co-writer for Charlotte Day Wilson's "I Can Only Whisper" at the 2022 Juno Awards. He is a member of Universal Music Publishing Group and Electric Feel Publishing as a writer.
