Early life
Sujoy Ghosh was born in Kolkata. He attended St. James' School. When he was 13, he continued to live in Bhowanipore and then moved to London. Sujoy completed his A Levels at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College. He holds a degree in electronics as well as an MBA from Manchester University. Before retiring in 1999, he served as a South Asian head of the Reuters media division. Sujoy is married to Vaishali – a psychologist who has two children, as well as Agni – an ex-professional rugby player who now works for Phaidon International.
Career
In 2003, Ghosh made his directorial debut with the small-budget Jhankaar Beats, a nod to R. D. Burman's birthday and a surprise hit.
