About
This Canadian metal singer and guitarist is best known as a founding member of the Toronto-based heavy metal band Anvil, earning the stage name/nickname "Lips." Metal on Metal (1982), Plugged in Permanent (1996), and Hope in Hell (2013) are among his many studio albums with the band.
Before Fame
He began playing the guitar at the age nine and co-founded Anvil (originally called Lips) with his high school musical collaborator and mentor, drummer Robb Reiner. In 1981, Anvil released Hard 'n' Heavy, its first studio album.
