Early life

As the second of three children, White-Gluz was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. During WWII, her grandparents were held in concentration camps and managed to recover. Their experiences in the camps would continue to inspire the Arch Enemy song "First Day in Hell." She is Jasamine White-Gluz's younger sister and plays with No Joy, a Montreal-based shoegaze band.

Personal life

Since 2014, White-Gluz, the guitarist of American horror punk band Misfits, has been in a relationship with Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein.

She was born in a vegetarian household and has been a vegetarian since 1998. She lives a life of simplicity. She describes herself as an atheist and dismisses faith as "insignificant" because "it doesn't mean [she loots] religious people or [is] opposed to them."

White-Gluz is a fan of classical music as well as rock music. Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Soundgarden are among the 90s grunge artists she loves. "I know a lot of people loathe it, but I love the simplicity, the stripped-down, honest songs, and the mistakes." In an interview with Metal Hammer, I love hearing the fuck-ups, out-of-tune guitars, and the cracks in the voice.

White-Gluz said she had been "vegan for about 18 years," but that she had been involved in animal rights activism from childhood. PETA has given her a Libby award for her role in an international campaign opposing the hunting of Canadian seals.
