Steven Eugene Corino (born May 29, 1973) is a Canadian semi-retired professional wrestler who has signed with WWE as a coach and producer for their teenage NXT affiliate group.
He is best known for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and Ring of Honor (ROH) under the ring name Steve Corino. Corino has won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, the MLW World Heavyweight Championship, the 1PW World Heavyweight Championship, and the 1PW World Heavyweight Championships, as well as the AWA World Heavyweight Championship and the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship twice each, as well as the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship and the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship.

Professional wrestling career
Corino started wrestling in 1994 and spent four years on the independent circuit. He was working with Modern Extreme Grappling Arts, a promotion headed by Matt and Jeff Hardy during this period. Corino started an anti-hardcore movement on the free circuit because if he did not work hardcore matches, he would have a better chance of getting jobs. He gained experience in Puerto Rico for the WWC, working under the ring name Lightning Kid (which had previously been used by Sean Waltman) and also appeared in the WWF as a jobber.
Corino made his debut as a heel wrestler in Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1998. He stood out in ECW as a result of his "King of Old School" gimmick, where he would deride hardcore wrestlers, at one point invaded a Limp Bizkit concert and protested the immoral conduct.
Corino brought Jack Victory on as a boss and became an advisor for Tajiri and Rhino in late 1999. Dusty Rhodes, who defeated him in a thrilling Bullrope match at Living Dangerously, became feud with him. He lost to Jerry Lynn at Heat Wave 2000. Corino's salary was paid by ECW, and the man was arrested 2001 at The Sandman at Guilty, who had been charged with 2001. Dustin Rhodes gave him a World Championship Wrestling contract, but he didn't get to appear in the company's third to last PPV Sin. When World Wrestling Entertainment took over WCW in March 2001, they released Corino from the organization. He went on to compete for several of the National Wrestling Alliance's regional promotions. He won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on April 24, which was the first time he had ever competed.
Corino continued his feud with Rhodes in his Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling series, as well as Southern Championship Wrestling, and he was a member of the Extreme Horsemen with C. W. Corino and Homicide met again on August 16, 2003 at Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies, which saw Corino defeated Corino. Homicide trapped Corino in a new STF after twenty minutes of combat that had both men bleeding and carrying wounds, causing Corino's corner man, Guillo LeGrande, to throw in the towel, giving the match to Homicide. Corino sustained a legitimate ruptured eardrum during the match and permanently lost most of the hearing in his left ear following a bruss slap to the side of the head in Homicide. Homicide has since stated in a shoot interview that he was not responsible for Corino's hearing, claiming Corino had been tense with him the whole match.
In a barbed wire match, Homicide defeated Corino for the third time on November 29, 2003. Julius Smokes went on the towel for Homicide this time, after Corino throttled him with a length of barbed wire. After the match, Corino gave Homicide a handshake, hinting that he now reveres Homicide, but Homicide refused to shake his hand. Corino was back in ROH in a tag team match on October 14, 2005, defeating Low Ki and Homicide.
Colt Cabana, who was wearing a mask, interfered in the match in New York City on December 3rd. Homicide defeated Corino in a match replay from 2003. Homicide separated his shoulder during the game, but did not want to have surgery. Homicide was unable to participate in the following competition, Final Battle 2005, due to his injury. He did turn up, but with the intent of killing Steve Corino. Homicide charged Corino after his match, then rushed down to the ring and assaulted him. Colt Cabana staggered down to save Corino, only to discover Homicide pour Drano on his throat.
After a long absence, he returned to ROH in August 2006, reigniting his rivalry with Homicide. Homicide beat Corino in a Fight Without Honor fight in Philadelphia on November 4 at The Bitter End. Although the two guys still hated each other, they shook hands after the match, and Corino allowed Homicide to shave his head.
Corino started a retirement tour and travelled to many nations as a part of the tour after announcing that his retirement would take place at the end of 2007. Corino captured the B4W North American championship in Morganville, New Jersey, from then-champion Tommy Thunda on October 6, 2007.
Corino defeated three rounds of an 8-man, single-night tournament in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on November 3, 2007, becoming the Union of Professional Wrestlers Heavyweight Champion. Following a pair of lariat clotheslines, he beat Eddie Osbourne in the first round by pinfall, Pepper Parks, and "Fabulous" John McChesney in the second round by referee stoppage and "Fabulous" John McChesney in the finals by pinfall. Corino defended the B4W North American championship against Jihad on November 10, 2007. Corino made his final Northeast appearance for B4W on December 8, 2007. Since his protege Ricky Landell was forced to throw in the towel, he lost his North American title to Jihad in a submission match. Corino captured the Platinum Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on December 14, 2007 after defeating "The Indy Wrestling Superstar" Erico in front of a sold out audience in Michigan City, Indiana.
Corino's retirement came to an end in Montreal, Canada, on December 28, 2007, as he fought his final match for the Showcase Wrestling Revolution. Kevin Steen returned to ROH on June 26 at the Best in the World 2011, apparently yearning for redemption as well. Steen turned on Corino and Jacobs after being pulled out of the arena after saving Corino from the House of Truth, however, before being led out of the room. Kevin Steen defeated Corino, his former mentor, and Jim Cornette at Ringside on December 23, allowing him to be reinstated in ROH.
Corino returned to ROH on May 12, 2012, shortly after he established the S.C.U.M. (Suffering, Chaos, Ugliness, and Mayhem) Staying with Steen and Jacobs is stable. Corino has been playing with ROH as their regular color commentator, alongside play-by-play commentator Kevin Kelly and occasionally Nigel McGuinness, while simultaneously having a running feud with B. J. Whitmer and The Decade, since the dissolution of S.C.U.M. Whitmer and Corino have both joined The Decade, with Corino refusing, but Whitmer wasn't worried about Steve, but Colby's real-life son Colby and his acceptance into The Decade have differed. McGuinness warned Corino that if he did not attack any ROH employee, he will be banned. McGuinness was suspended and barred from commenting after attacking Whitmer in a Fight Without Honor at the Final Battle, but Corino announced that he would have neck surgery and that his career would come to an end. Mr. Wrestling 3 continued to debate with a mask under the name of Mr. Wrestling 3. Even as he was enjoying the gimmick, Whitmer was claiming that Mr. Wrestling 3 was indeed Steve Corino and was convincing Colby that Corino had him replaced him for Corino's new wife and son, and Corino's son, and Whitmer kept torturing Colby in front of Corino's eyes. Corino returned as the Steve Corino character at War of the Worlds, acknowledging that he did not want to be the "Evil Man" anymore, but he promised that in the newly revived match that would take place at Best in the World 2016, he would do stuff that he would never regret for. Corino defeated Whitmer in a Non-Sanctioned Fight Without Honor, but he lost due to Kevin Sullivan's interference. Corino returned to commentating following Best in the World, but Sullivan rated him consistently during Whitmer's games. Cody, who defeated Jay Lethal, began to cause mayhem in the ring and then pushed Corino. Whitmer said at the dinner that a "brother" has to be sacrificed, and Corino's plans with Dusty Rhodes were revealed. Corino lost to Cody, Corino's last match in ROH, in their match. Corino's ROH deal came to an end on December 31, 2016.
Corino began as a guest trainer at the WWE Performance Center in November 2016. He had signed to become a full-time trainer for WWE, which would have been announced shortly thereafter.
