Personal life

In 1976, Schnetzer married Amy Ingersoll. He married actress Nancy Snyder, his second wife, in 1982, who appeared on One Life to Live as she was playing Katrina Karr. Max and Ben Schnetzer, who is also an actor, have two children.

Life and career

Schnetzer, a German immigrant, was born in Canton, Massachusetts, the uncle of Thomas A. Schnetzer. His mother was a war bride from Algeria. He attended Catholic Memorial School. He appeared on Days of Our Lives as Julie Olson Williams' brother, Steven Olson, and as fitness specialist Marcello Salta. Cass Winthrop appeared on Another World (1982–86, 1999–99). After the cancellation of Another World, Cass Winthrop appeared on CBS soap opera As the World Turns (1999–2002; 2006), and Guiding Light (2002). He has also been charged with Stephen Schnetzer, Stephen St. Paul, and Steven St. Paul.

Schnetzer has recently earned a following among many companies, including Mercedes-Benz and many prescription and over-the-counter medications. Today, his voice is often heard on radio and television.

He has appeared in numerous recent regional theater revivals, including The Quality of Life (2009), Legacy of Light (world premiere) (2009), and Noises Off (2006–2007) at Arena Stage, including The Quality of Life (2009). He appeared in, among other shows, The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? Laurence Olivier's Film and Filumena (the former was directed by Laurence Olivier).
