Stefan Johansen Career

Club career

Johansen was born and raised in Vard, a tiny town in Norway's far north. At the age of 14, he migrated to Bod/Glimt. Johansen joined the team alongside Anders Konradsen ahead of the 2007 season, and he made his debut for the team against Hammerfest in the First Round of the 2007 Norwegian Football Cup. When Bod/Glimt was promoted to Tippeligaen in 2007, Johansen made his debut in Tippeligaen in the 3–2 victory over Viking in the 85th minute.

Johansen made four appearances in the 2009 season before moving to Bod/Glimt in Adeccoligaen in 2010 and being regarded as one of Northern Norway's top talents. Troms, Fredrikstad, and Aalesund all wanted to sign Johansen, but the club did not renew after the season, but Stromsgodset's three-year deal began in December 2010, and he joined the club on a free transfer on January 1st 2011. In his last season as a Bod/Glimt, Johansen played 18 matches in Adeccoligaen.

When Johansen arrived on in the 80th minute and replaced Fredrik Nordkvelle, it was his first appearance for Struggle against Sogndal. Johansen made 13 league appearances and scored one goal in his first season with Stromsgodset. Johansen scored a goal from a free kick in the match against Sandnes Ulf on May 16, 2012. Johansen scored another goal from a free kick in the 5–0 victory over Fredrikstad on May 27, 2012, the one he scored 11 days earlier. After Mohammed Abu Dhabi returned to Manchester City as a regular in Strmsgodset's starting lineup in August 2012, Johansen made his break-through at Strmsgodset, winning the Statoil Talent Prize for his efforts. Johansen helped Struggle win their first league title in 43 years in 2013 and was named Midfielder of the Year in the Norwegian league.

Johansen completed a transfer fee of £2 million to Scottish Premiership club Celtic on January 15, 2014. Following Harald Brattbakk, Vidar Riseth, and Thomas Rogne, Johansen signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club, becoming the fourth Norwegian to play for Celtic since Harald Brattbakk, Vidar Riseth, and Thomas Rogne. He was given the number 25 shirt, the same number used by ubomr Moravk and Shunsuke Nakamura in previous years.

In the 4–0 win over Hibernian on January 26, Johansen made his Celtic debut in the 4–0 win. He was a replacement until the last five minutes. He scored his first goal for Celtic in a home league match against St Mirren on March 22, 2014, opening the scoring in a 3–0 win with a header.

Meanwhile, Coventry are winless this season, but they did a good job to come back from behind to draw 2-2 at Luton.
