Career
She spent her early years training in gymnastics, aiming for the 2016 Olympics, and then hired a talent firm to pay for the education, but after being accepted in The Book Thief (and subsequent awards), she switched to acting. In addition, Nélisse formed and maintained a close friendship with her co-star Nico Liersch from The Book Thief.
