Shelley Craft Career

Television career

Craft began her television career in the 1990s with a work stint at Channel Seven in Brisbane. This culminated in a work as a production assistant on a local basis, as well as a co-host role with children's program Saturday Disney a few months later.

Craft has been with Saturday Disney as host and segment producer for six years. Craft began working at The Great Outdoors in late 2001 and left Saturday Disney in July 2002, although not returning to Saturday Disney until October 2005. During an episode broadcast during September 2009, Craft made one last appearance on Saturday Disney through flashbacks, commemorating 1000 episodes of the program.

She has worked on several of Channel Seven's biggest sporting events, including the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney (as part of the Sunrise team), the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, and the 2004, 2003, 2003, and 2004 Melbourne Cups.

The short-lived revival of dating game show Perfect Match Australia, alongside puppet Agro Craft, was hosted in late 2002. With Grant Denyer, she co-hosted Guinness World Records in 2005.

Grant Denyer was also involved in presenting Carols in the Domain every year in 2006.

Craft left The Great Outdoors after a clean-out of the show, with several other entertainers also attending the door.

Craft may have been a potential replacement for Kate Ritchie as the co-host of It Takes Two in late 2007, but Craft, who was clearly dissatisfied with the job offer, has left the network.

Craft's last on-air appearance at the Seven Network was presenting Comedy Classics for Comic Relief with Russell Gilbert.

Craft joined the Nine Network in January 2008, severing her long association with the Seven Network.

Craft took over from Toni Pearen as the host of Australia's Funniest Home Video Exhibition, which began in February 2008.

She joined Scott Cam from May 2008 as co-host on the lifestyle show Domestic Blitz.

Craft did a National Tree Day commercial in 2008, followed by Jetstar advertisements in late 2009.

Craft appeared alongside Scott Cam again in the 2011 sport series The Block. Craft hosted The Block: Unlocked on Friday night and appeared in a number of regular episodes, presenting challenges to contestants. She has since been on The Block, presenting challenges and serving as a secondary host to Scott Cam. In 2020, Craft obtained her real estate agent license (NSW).

In 2013, she debuted the 'Showdown' version of Big Brother Australia.

Craft was named host of Your Domain alongside Chris Kohler in September 2019.
