Shawn Caminiti Pyfrom (born August 16, 1986) is an American actor and singer who has appeared in numerous television series and films, most well-known for his portrayal of Andrew Van de Kamp on ABC's Desperate Housewives as well as as Lionel Griff in Playhouse Disney's Stanley.
Early life
Pyfrom was born in Tampa, Florida. He is of Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Italian, German, Hungarian, and French descent. Gail's middle name, "Caminiti," is his mother's maiden name. Christopher Pyfrom is a younger brother, and Amber is a younger sister.
Career
On ABC's Desperate Housewives, he is best known for his recurring role as Andrew Van de Kamp, the son of Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) and late Rex Van de Kamp (Steven Culp). During the show's first season (2004–2005), he appeared as a regular guest star. He returned in the fifth season and fourth season as a full fledged cast regular after appearing in the entirety of the second season as a support cast member and being credited in the opening credits). Shawn appeared in the Walt Disney Pictures film The Shaggy Dog (2006) starring Tim Allen and Kristin Davis, as well as the film The Darkroom (2007) opposite Erin Foster.
