Sally Dynevor Life

Sally Dynevor (née Whittaker), born 30 May 1963, is an English actress known for her long-running appearance in Coronation Street, formerly Webster and Seddon.

She received the Best Comedy Award in 2015 and the Best On-Screen Partnership with Joe Duttine.

Early life

Dynevor was born in Middleton, Greater Manchester, to Robert and Jennifer Whittaker.

Personal life

In Trafford, Greater Manchester, Dynevor married scriptwriter Tim Dynevor in 1995. They have three children, one of whom was born in Trafford, Phoebe.

Dynevor was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2009, the same year her character was, for which she had chemotherapy and radiotherapy. After a six-month absence, Dynevor returned to the ITV soap in July 2010. Both the actor and the actress recovered after being unable to.

Dynevor has been an ambassador for ActionAid since 1999. She has travelled to India to raise money for the charity and has appeared on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?

In the 2021 New Year Honours for services to drama, Dynevor was elected Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). She received her award at a Windsor Castle service on February 2nd, 2022.

Career

Dynevor studied at the Oldham Repertory Theatre and then the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Wendy Cunningham, a troubled schoolgirl who becomes a heroin addict, appeared in an episode of Juliet Bravo in 1985.

Sally Webster, a bad girl turned tame on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, has made her career out of it. She made her first appearance on the serial in January 1986 and has been with the program ever since. At the 2011 Television and Radio Industries Club Awards, Dynevor was nominated for Best TV soap Personality (TRIC Awards). She also accepted the award for Best Storyline at the 2011 British Soap Awards, which revolved around the Dobbs-Websters love triangle, alongside three other actors (this award goes to producer, Phil Collinson). She was nominated for Best On-Screen Collaboration (with Joe Duttine) at the 2015 British Soap Awards and was named for Best Comedy Performance. At the British Soap Awards in 2016, Dynevor and Joe Duttine received the award for Best On-Screen Partnership. Dynevor would be competing in the fourteenth series of Dancing on Ice in October 2021.

Comedian Josh Jones was the sixth celebrity confirmed to be taking part in the new series of Dancing on Ice on Wednesday.  The star, 31, from Manchester was announced on the radio station Gaydio where he admitted he had 'no skating experience at all'.  He said: 'I've not got any skating experience whatsoever, I did it once for a date years ago and I wasn't very good, I was holding onto the railings the entire time and we aren't together now.
