Lou Foster of the British soap opera Hollyoaks (2005–2008), Lou Foster in the British drama series Lip Service (2010), Doreah in the British-American fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2011–2012), and Lady Claire Riesen in the American apocalyptic supernatural drama Dominion (2014–2015).

Career
In 2004, McKee auditioned for the role of Louise Summers, a fictional actor from Hollyoaks: On the Hunt, a nationwide search for a new actor. McKee began voicing Louise, a role that was introduced by series producer David Hanson in 2005. She was chosen out of over 35,000 applicants.
McKee, an actress who denied that she intended to leave in 2008, speculated at a potential departure for her character. "I'm not going to be here forever," she told Look magazine. I don't mind the long hours, but when my term comes to an end, I'll be doing it for four years." McKee left the show in order to concentrate on other initiatives, mainly theatre, after her tenure ended in October 2008. Many months after McKee's last on-screen appearance, tabloid newspapers began to speculate that she would reprise the role to coincide with Jamie Lomas' death, Warren. "Well, Louise will not be dead," McKee had told Digital Spy, "Well, Louise isn't dead." That's the exciting new twist in the future.
