Sabrina Ghayour was born in Tehran, Iran, and with her mother, they migrated to west London at the start of the 1979 Iranian revolution.

Career

Following her education, Ghayour was employed by restaurateurs such as Ken Hom and spent time in corporate catering in the City of London for about fifteen years.

At cookery schools, Ghayour instructs Persian and Middle Eastern classes. She has worked as a consultant on menu and product creation for corporate corporations, retail stores, airlines, caterers, and supermarkets.

Persiana, Ghayou's first cookbook, was released in May 2014. It covers the Mediterranean Sea's southern and Eastern shores. While some of the recipes in the book are authentic, others take inspiration from the Middle East and blend flavors and ingredients of the region's produce, which is also available in supermarkets everywhere. Persiana spent nine weeks on best-seller lists and received the 2014 Best New Cookbook award from Observer Food Monthly.

Sirocco (2016) and Feasts (2017) were among Ghayou's early releases. In 2019, she published Bazaar – Vibrant Vegetarian Recipes, her fourth book.
