Following her education, Ghayour was employed by restaurateurs such as Ken Hom and spent time in corporate catering in the City of London for about fifteen years.

At cookery schools, Ghayour instructs Persian and Middle Eastern classes. She has worked as a consultant on menu and product creation for corporate corporations, retail stores, airlines, caterers, and supermarkets.
