Early years

Rohit Chand Thakuri was born in Surkhet, Nepal, and he was born. Rabin Chand Thakuri, a semi-professional footballer, and he began playing football at the age of eight, and was selected for the ANFA academy at the age of 13. Chand's time with the U-16 national team in Iran in 2008 was the turning point of his career. Club career

Machhindra Football Club was Chand's first professional club in Nepal's top flight. Chand's play earned him four Man of the Match awards throughout the league season, and his playing at the back was one of Machhindra's season's highlights. Chand is the youngest player to play a full senior level tournament for Nepal, making his debut against Palestine in the AFC on March 23 (22 days) that was later broken by Bimal Gharti Magar.
