Meet Slovakia's very glamorous WAGs - as England gets ready to face team in next Euros 2024 game
www.dailymail.co.uk,
June 28, 2024
The Slovakian team will have a host of glamorous WAGs, including models, yacht business owners, and even a former Wimbledon star at the ready to support. England have played Slovakia six times and won five of those games - the one exception being their only meeting at a major tournament to date: a 0-0 draw in the group stage at Euro 2016. However, it appears to be a team with little fear and that is testament to the job Francesco Calzona has done. But while ferocious in play - off the pitch, many of the team are in loved up dedicated relationships, often posting snaps of their families on social media. Pictured left to right: Barbora Hroncekova, Kristyna Pliskova, Romana Bobokova and Sarka Peková.
Rob Page apologises to travelling fans after Wales' dismal 4-0 defeat by Slovakia as pressure continues to grow on under-fire boss
www.dailymail.co.uk,
June 10, 2024
Under-fire boss Rob Page apologised to Wales fans after a 4-0 thrashing to Slovakia and said it is 'up to the powers that be' to decide if he stays in the job. Page saw Wales get dismantled in a Trnava friendly after their dismal 0-0 draw with Gibraltar, the world's 203rd-ranked team, in Portugal on Thursday. The pressure has steadily grown on Page after Wales' flat performance at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar when they finished bottom of their group and their failure to qualify for this summer's European Championship.
