In early television work, Lumsden features Foggy in two series of First Of The Summer Wine, One Foot In The Grave, Brittas Empire, Nelson's Column, Grace and Favour, Coogan's Run - Death Of A Salesman, and Hornblower.

Colin in a three-series of Simon Nye's Is It Legal?, Henry in Wonderful You, Roger in All About Me, Roger in Roger in The House That Jack Built, as well as episodes of Dangerfield, People Like Us, Hardware, Love Soup, and The Croydon Poisonings. Nathan appeared in a number of Sugar Rush films as well as in Party Animals, Suburban Shootout, Dis/connected, U.B., and Free Agents. At the Bridewell Theatre, 2004, he performed his own one-man musical performance We Could Be Heroes, later transferring to the Mill Theatre in Guildford and the Arts Theatre, West End. His repertory theatre performances in Stoke-on-Trent and Basingstoke include titles from Hamlet and Master Harold & The Boys, As You Like It, King Lear's Affair, A Trip To Scarborough, Amadeus, Juno, and Having A Ball. In the Skull at the Theater Exchange, Minneapolis USA, and John Thorpe in Northanger Abbey at Greenwich, he appeared in Roche in Rat in the Skull.

He wrote a seven-hour drama Wonderful You for ITV (co-written with Chris Niel), A Good Place For Fishing (co-written with John Dodd), a one-man comedy starring Anne Reid, and Man in the Moon with Tom Courtenay, as well as a five-day recital for BBC Radio 4: A Book by Lester Tricklebank (with Stephen Tompkinson). Skeletons' readings have taken place at Soho Theatre and Leicester Square Theatre.

The Six Loves of Billy Binns, Hs debut novel, was released by Tinder Press in January 2019. [5] He had previously adapted his story for Radio 4 under the same name, as well as Tom Courtenay.
