Amir Selmane Ramy Bensebaini (born 16 April 1995) is an Algerian professional footballer who competes for Borussia Mönchengladbach and Algeria's national team.
He plays primarily as a central defender, but he can also play as a left-back and a defensive midfielder.
Club career
Benseba, a native of Constantine, began his career at Paradou AC in 2008 and made his senior debut in 2013. Bensebani's trial began with Porto and was later ordered to a two-week trial by English Premier League club Arsenal, during which he played in two friendlies against Luton Town and Colchester.
Bensebni was loaned out by Paradou for a season to Belgian Pro League team Lierse in June 2014. On August 3rd, he made his full debut against Club Brugge, defeating them as a 94th-minute replacement for Wanderson. Bensebani made 23 league appearances during the season, scoring 1 goal, but was unable to help Lierse prevent relegation.
Bensebani was loaned out again by Paradou in June 2015, this time to Montpellier, France, for the 2015–16 Ligue 1 season.
