Rachel Rice (born 7 March 1984) is a Welsh television presenter, model, actor, and tutor.
She is best known for winning the ninth series of the Channel 4 (now Channel 5) reality show Big Brother.
She has a degree in English and Drama and is now a teacher at Abersychan School.
Career
Rice, a native of Pontypool, began acting as a television and film actor. She appeared in many international television commercials, including the Sony Handicam's 'Fairies at the Bottom of the Garden' in 1991. When she was eight years old, one of her most notable appearances was as a partner with Hugh Grant in the 1993 Gothic horror Night Train to Venice. She later worked as a model and studied as a teacher. She is now teaching full time.
Rice first appeared in Big Brother on June 5th, 2008. Rice survived two eviction votes during her stay in the house, the first in Week 8, when nine others were evicted as a result of breaking rules, and the second in Week 10, where she survived over Stuart Pilkington. On September 5, she was announced as the winner of her series.
Rice discussed her plans to spend some of her £100,000 prize money on paying student loans, buying a new car, and donating £10,000 to charity on the Big Brother's Little Brother reunion show.

Rice finished second in the 2003 Miss Wales competition, which was won by Imogen Thomas, who also appeared in series seven of Big Brother. She has continued to represent both South and North Wales in Miss Great Britain. She won the Welsh Idol competition in 2004 on Sunday's newspaper. Rice also reached the finalist in the 2005 More magazine's Most fanciable girl competition.
