Heather Mills Life

Heather Anne Mills (born 12 January 1968) is an English former model, media personality, businesswoman, and protester. Mills came to national prominence as a model in 1993 and was involved in a traffic accident in London with a police motorcycle.

The accident resulted in themputation of her left leg below the knee, but she continued to model by using a prosthetic leg and later sold her story to a tabloid newspaper. In 2000, her friendship with Sir Paul McCartney drew greater public notice.

Mills and Mills married in June 2002 and Beatrice Milly McCartney gave birth on October 28th, 2003.

The couple separated in 2006 and announced their divorce in 2008. Mills became involved in animal rights campaign after her marriage to McCartney and as of 2012, she is a patron of Viva! (International Voice for Animals,Vegetarians) and the Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation.

She is also Vice President of the Limbless Association.

Early life

Mills was born in Aldershot, Hampshire, to John 'Mark' Francis Mills, a former British paratrooper, and Beatrice Mary Mills (née Finlay), the daughter of a colonel in the British Army. At the age of seven, John was adopted in Brighton, where his adoptive parents' grocery store was located. His adoptive father served as a mechanic for a Grand Prix racing team as well. Beatrice was born in India during World War II and was educated at English boarding schools. At Newcastle University, John and Beatrice met and were married against her father's wishes, but they did not attend the wedding and only saw his daughter once more before he died.

Beatrice spoke in many languages and played the piano, while Mark played banjo and guitar, enjoyed photography (winning an Evening Standard award) and participated in numerous sports. He was a fan of animals (was with the RSPCA for a time), and Heather remembered her family's past with a dog and a cat, as well as a white nanny goat that was allowed to roam the house owned by Mark's parents in Libanus, near Brecon, where they were born with a pet goose and a white nanny goat.

The Mills family lived in Libanus for a time, and during that time, they enjoyed it. Heather and the family moved north to Alnwick, Northumberland, but shortly after, they were relocated to a block of flats in Washington, Tyne and Wear, and then Cockshott Farm in Rothbury, Northumberland. Heather attended Usworth Grange Primary School and then Usworth Comprehensive School in Washington. She visited Usworth Comprehensive in 2003 as a guest of honor at a prize-giving event and to help the school combat plans for its closure.

Heather later recalled that a swimming pool attendant kidnapped and sexually assaulted her and her next-door neighbor when she was eight years old. Heather's tale, according to her neighbor, Margaret Ambler, was "nothing what she made it out to be," and she did not commit suicide as she had predicted. Despite Heather's letter advising $10,000 to avoid a court case, Ambler argued that the tale had brought her deep concern by bringing the case to national attention, so she sued for privacy privacy and incurred £5,000 in damages and £54,000 in legal fees.

Beatrice left home when Heather was nine years old to live with Crossroads actor Charles Stapley, leaving her, her older brother Shane, and her younger sister Fiona in the custody of their father John. Heather once said that John yelled Shane against a window for a mess on the carpet with crayons; the window was broken and Shane was admitted to the hospital, where John told Shane that the boy was not to blame for falling on some glass in the garden. "Our family was always short of money and our father insisted that we find food and clothing," Fiona said, so we turned to shoplifting, learned to escape from the bailiffs, and became domestic experts. I'm not ashamed to say that we were coerced to steal because as a young child, you'd rather do that than face a beating from your father." John denied his daughters' allegations that he was violent against them, and then published home movies of family holidays in Wales, featuring Mills enjoying happily.

Italian businessman denies 'conspiracy' to inflate value of London property sold to the Vatican City in fraud case that saw Pope Francis authorise wire tapping

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 26, 2024
An Italian businessman has denied being part of a 'conspiracy' to inflate the value of a posh London property that was sold to the Vatican City in a fraud case that saw Pope Francis authorise the use of wire-tapping against him.  Raffaele Mincione, a millionaire financier and ex-fiance of Heather Mills, is asking a judge in London's High Court to rule that he acted in 'good faith' in a deal that the Holy See claims saw him dupe them into paying more for a Chelsea property that it was worth.  The Secretariat of State of the Holy See is opposing the claim, alleging the deal 'involved a fraud' that cost them £100 million because of the depreciation in value of the property at 60 Sloane Avenue, which used to be a car showroom and garage for Harrods.

Inside the multi-million pound divorce battles of 'Britain's most feared lawyer' Fiona Shackleton: CLAUDIA CONNELL reveals why she's been hired by everyone from Prince Charles to Madonna

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 13, 2024
Whether they're royalty or rock stars, when the super-rich split there's only one person they want representing them: Baroness Fiona Shackleton of Belgravia, the most formidable divorce lawyer in the country. Just as famous for her killer wardrobe as her killer touch, Fiona's determination to get her clients the best possible deal has earned her the nickname 'steel magnolia'. And it's Fiona, 68, a partner at London legal practice Payne Hicks Beach, that Earl Spencer is said to have hired to represent him after announcing the end of his third marriage. The split, which came as a shock to observers, ends a 13-year union between Spencer, 60, and Canadian philanthropist Countess Spencer, nee Karen Villeneuve, 52. The couple have one daughter, aged 11 - Spencer's seventh child. Icily ruthless on behalf of her clients, Shackleton - who charges £550 per hour - also acted for Spencer's sister, Princess Diana, in her divorce from the then-Prince of Wales. These other famous cases show precisely why she's described by the prestigious Spear's Family Law Index as 'Britain's most feared and revered divorce lawyer'...
