Rachel Clare Hurd-Wood (born 17 August 1990) is an English actress and model best known for her appearances in Peter Pan (2004), Corrie McKenzie in Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010) and Sibyl Vane in Dorian Gray (2009) and her television appearance as Rachel Maddox in Clique (2017–present).
Early life
Hurd-Wood, the daughter of Philip and Sarah Hurd-Wood, was born in South London, England, in the Streatham district. She lived in London until the age of eight, when she and her family moved to a Victorian cottage in Godalming, Surrey.
She has a younger brother, Patrick, who appeared with her in Peter Pan as one of the "I Do Believe In Fairies" bandwagons. In his sister's sequel, Solomon Kane, in which she plays Meredith Crowthorn, she also plays Samuel Crowthorn.
Her father's occupations include acting, writing scripts, and doing voice-overs for businesses. He appears in An American Haunting as one of the guests in the Christmas party scene right from the start of the film. Career
Hurd-Wood's acting career began in 2002, when she was chosen to play Wendy Darling after her grandparents discovered a television clip that said P.J. For the film Peter Pan, Hogan was looking for a "new English rose." She travelled to Gold Coast, Australia, for eight months of filming. Her performance received raves and was nominated for both Best Performance by a Younger Actor and Young Artist Award for Best Achievement in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actress.
