Carly Hannah Chaikin (born March 26, 1990) is an American actress.

She began acting in 2009 and then appeared in the ABC sitcom Suburgatory as Dalia Royce.

She appeared in the series until its cancellation in 2014 and a year later, Darlene appeared in the critically acclaimed USA Network television drama Mr. Laughs. Robots.

Early life

Chaikin was born in Santa Monica, California, to a cardiologist father and a psychotherapist mother. She was born Jewish and has a sibling.

She attended The Archer School for Girls and the New Roads School. During this time, she competed in a variety of sports, including volleyball, softball, basketball, and soccer.

Personal life

Chaikin is also a painter, focusing on acrylics and oil with some mixed media collage. Chaikin admits she took painting lessons growing up, but she says she is mainly self-taught.

She has 11 tattoos, one of which features Bob Dylan's song lyrics.

Chaikin is a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, a charity that conducts studies and support for people and their families affected by mental illness. She served as the emcee of NAMI Walks in both 2016 and 2017, as well as raising funds for the cause, which included matching incoming donations. She has been a PSA for the company in the past.

Chaikin wanted to be an actress from the age of 11. She wanted to leave college and dedicate herself to acting during high school.

Chaikin first appeared in the film The Consultants, which was released in the United States on December 4, 2010. Chaikin first auditioned for the role of Tessa. Dalia, Chaikin's character, wrote a series of articles for Parade, a publication that showcases her creativity. Dalia, Dalia's mother, shot "You Missed A Spot," a music video titled "You Missed A Spot."
