Paul Fix Life

Peter Paul Fix (March 13, 1901 – October 14, 1983) was an American film and television character actor best known for his appearances in Westerns.

Fix appeared in more than a hundred films and hundreds of television shows over a 56-year career between 1925 and 1981.

Marshal Micah Torrance, opposite Chuck Connors' character in The Rifleman from 1958 to 1963, was the most well-known fixer.

In the 1966 western film Ride Beyond Vengeance, he co-starred Chuck Connors.

Early life and military service

Paul Fix Morrison was born in Dobbs Ferry, New York, to Wilhelm Fix, a baker, and Louise C. Walz, although some accounts indicate he was born Paul Fix Morrison. His mother and father, a German immigrant, had left their Black Forest home and arrived in New York City in the 1870s.

Fix joined the National Guard after the US' entry into World War I in April 1917, first serving at Peekskill, New York. He went AWOL and enlisted in the United States Army after three months of military service there. He was stationed in Providence, Rhode Island, after three months of being at Fort Slocum. He went AWOL and then enlisted in the US Navy and later stationed in the United States Navy. Fix was selected to appear on stage in a Navy Relief Organization production of the comedic opera H.M.S. while serving in the Navy. Pinafore is the capital of Peru. He served as a hospital corpsman on ships carrying American troops to and from Europe for several years until he was officially discharged from military service on September 5, 1919.

Personal life and death

Marilyn Carey, Jr., married his mother in 1944, and they had four children of their own.

Fix died of kidney disease in Los Angeles at the age of 82.
