Career
Anderson, who worked as a ticket scalper and young singer, and enrolled in the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, decided to pursue acting in the mid-2000s. He started his acting career by appearing in plays written by his buddy Gregory Burke, and he made his screen debut in Burke's critically acclaimed 2014 film '71.' He appeared in The Firm, the British film of 2009.
Anderson's break came as a main protagonist in the BBC Two series Peaky Blinders as Arthur Shelby, a gangster in post-First World War Birmingham.
