Patrick Nuo Career

Career

Patrick met producer and songwriter David Jost, who helped Nuo sign a Warner Music deal in 2002. The pair produced a complete album in the ensuing months, which was later released under the name Welcome in September 2003. Its debut single "5 Days" and its sequel "Reanimate," which reached number 18 on the Swiss Singles Chart, was a hit in Switzerland and Germany.

Nuo joined Zeichen der Zeit, a Christian music venture whose first album "Du bist nicht allein" became a top ten hit in Germany this year. The following year, a second single from the project's self-titled compilation album, "Ein weiterer Morgen," debuted on the German Singles Chart, achieving the top 40. A Welcome Reissue was also released in 2004. It spawned the single "Undone," which served as the theme song for American comedy film Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) in German-speaking Europe.

Nuo's second album Superglue was released in May 2005. Although Welcome in Germany was not as commercially lucrative as Welcome, it would eventually become his highest-charting to date, debuting at number four on the Swiss Albums Chart. Two singles from Superglue were released: "Girl in the Moon" and "Beautiful," the former of which was his first and only top ten hits to date. The song ranked at number nine and seven in Switzerland and Austria respectively. Nuo teamed with Zeichen der Zeit in 2006 to produce Generation David (2006), a second album by the Fury, and part of another non-profit aid campaign when he sang of "Won't Forget These Days," a 2006 FIFA World Cup charity.

Nuo's third album Nuo was released in 2007, after a label change to Ariola Records. It struggled to be competitive on his previous studio albums, releasing three singles, one of which, "Watchin' Over You" became the only single to chart. On Flash Records, the single "Come On Now" was released in September 2009.

Nuo was one of the jury in the German Idol series in 2011. He and producer Dieter Bohlen were among the Deutschland sucht den Superstars alongside producer Dieter Bohlen and singer Fernanda Brando in 2011. He was one of eleven celebrities to attend Ich bin ein Star's seventh season in 2013 – Holt mich hier raus! Get Me Out of Here, based on the British reality television show I'm a Celebrity. He came in fifth place.
