Patrice Martinez (June 12, 1963 – December 24, 2018), was an American actress.
She received her theatrical education in London, played the role of Carmen in the film Three Amigos, and starred in the early 1990s television series Zorro.
Life and career
Martinez was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She appeared in a local theater as an infant. She began acting as an extra in Sam Peckinpah's film Convoy, beginning her screen career as an adolescent. She went from Albuquerque to London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she was eighteen.
She returned to the United States and then moved to Los Angeles, California, where she found her first film experience in A Walk on the Moon. She appeared in Three Amigos in 1986 and later accepted a role on Magnum, P.I. In season 7 ("Forty") and season 8 (the series's conclusion, "Resolutions"), Tom Selleck portrayed Linda Lee Ellison (episo) and season 8 (the series's conclusion, episode 12 & 13). Victoria Escalante was the figure of goddess in Zorro and appeared in Beetlejuice, The Effects of Magic, and Vital Signs after that.
Martinez is the niece of Benito Martinez and the niece of Margarita Martinez-Cannon. Benita, she has a sister who looks like her but is two years younger. In Three Amigos, Benita was also cast.
Martinez was married to producer-director Daniel Camhi from 1987 to 1992 and was credited as "Patrice Camhi" in the first two seasons of Zorro. Martinez and Camhi were divorced, so Patrice Martinez appeared as Patrice Martinez from Season Three.
