Hussein obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 2007. Hussein completed his Master's in Business Administration in 2015 after working as an engineer for many years. Before starting a Ph.D. in Media and Communication at Temple University, he worked in marketing and corporate roles.
Professional career
Hussein served as an engineer, Baker Hughes, and Procter & Gamble. Hussein became the CEO of UTURN in 2014, and afterward spent as a marketing manager for Careem, Uber's subsidiary. He co-founded a social media marketing and production company in 2019.
Hussein has written and produced Arabic-language web series material for Saudi production company Uturn entertainment under the channel name 3al6ayer (Arabic: "On the Fly") beginning in 2010. He specializes in combining stand-up comedy with social criticism. 3al6ayer has enjoyed success in the emerging Saudi YouTube market, with over 60 million viewers in less than three years.
