Early life
Nichkhun was born in Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA, to Thai Chinese parents and was raised in Thailand. His mother's family is from Hainan, and he has extended family and distant relatives from Guangzhou.
Yenjit Horvejkul (née Mekworewut) is Nickhun's mother and chief executive officer of Union Medical, a Thai pharmaceutical firm that was established in 1976 as an importer and distributor. He comes from a wealthy background, earning him the nickname "Thai Prince" in South Korea. Nichan Bert (born September 11, 1986), and two younger sisters, Nichthima Yanin (born October 22, 1990) and Nachjareen (Chereen) are among Niichun's three older brothers, Nichan Bert (born October 20, 1994). He and his family and friends left the United States and studied at Dhepkanjana School and Tangpiroondham School at the age of five. He attended Wanganui Collegiate School in New Zealand for a year and a half before returning to the United States to complete his education at Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, at the age of 12. He was scouted by a scout manager of JYP Entertainment at the Los Angeles Korean Music Festival.
After completing an audition hosted by JYP Entertainment, he signed a ten-year deal with the company but then resigned an eight-year deal, not including training, and was taken to South Korea in 2006 as a student in a class of 24 others. Park Jin-young told him that he was expected to learn how to sing and dance, learn Korean and Mandarin Chinese, and to bulk up. He is now fluent in Thai, English, Korean, Japanese, and basic Chinese. He first appeared on MNET's Hot Blood, a program that revealed the rigorous physical preparation that 13 male trainees had to go through for the opportunity to debut in either a four-member ballad group (2AM) or a seven-member dance group (2PM) under JYP Entertainment.
In 2009, he was eligible to the military draft lottery and later received an exemption from military service as a male citizen of Thailand.
After striking a motorist, Nichkhun was arrested in July 2012 for inebriated driving.
Personal life
In Gangnam's vehicular accident on July 24, 2012. According to reports, the singer was driving under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into a motorcycle. His BAC was recorded at 0.05 percent, so his licence was suspended. Nichkhun personally apologised for his latest inebriated driving crash, which led to his exile from the entertainment business.
Career
"10 Points out of ten Points" is Nichkhun's first single "10 Points out of 10 Points" from their single album "Hottest Time of the Day" on September 4, 2008. They have released five studio albums in Korea and four studio albums in Japan.
In 2010, 2011, and 2013, Nichkhun was one of the festival's hosts in Bangkok. Nichkhun, Taecyeon, and Yoon Eun-hye were two of the main characters in a 10-minute music video drama for Cass Beer in 2010, which was released on February 8. For the first time in Seven Things in 2012, Nichkhun appeared in a Thai film for the first time and assumed the role of a young marathon runner. The romantic anthology film was made by Thailand's film studio and distributor GTH and was released on July 26, 2012.
He filmed for One and a Half Summer, where he plays the lead role. The series aired between June and July 2014. On April 9, 2013, Nichkhun was named "Friend of UNICEF." Since then, he has been on several field visits to advocate for children's rights and raise questions about children's rights and increase knowledge of child rights. Nichkhun has played a key role in assisting UNICEF in mobilizing funds to help children in Thailand and around the world, particularly in the event of disaster situations. On Zhejiang Television, Nichkhun also served as a mentor on a Chinese music reality show Youth Trainee.
On May 3, Nichkhun and actor Lee Jung-jin released a travel book and photobook called " 'Journey, Map that embraces the Wind". The photographs in the book were taken on their trip to Hawaii, USA.
For the first time on JTBC's Magic School, Nichkhun joined the main cast of a Korean series. In September, Nichkhun announced his first solo Asia fan meeting tour after making his debut in 2008. The 'Nichkhun (of 2pm) 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour 'was held in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, between November 29-30 and December 13, respectively. On December 3, his fan meeting in Seoul, South Korea, was held.
In 2018, Nichkhun's fan meeting tour in Thailand and China continued. While some 2PM's members are serving in the military, Nichkhun has concentrated on his solo ventures. Brother of the Year is No. 1 in Thailand. 1 in Thai box offices and became the second highest-grossing Thai film in 2018. On December 19, 2018, Nichkhun's first solo mini album in Japan. The album is titled "Me" and "Mars" and features songs such as "Lucky Charm," "Endearing", and "Mars." Nichkhun was instrumental in writing and composing the lyrics for every song on the album. Before his album's debut, Nichkhun performed his first solo concert "NICHKHUN (From 2 p.m.) in Osaka on November 23, 24, and then to Tokyo on December 20 and 22. On February 18, Nichkhun's solo album Me appeared in South Korea. In South Korea, China, and Thailand, the album was available for streaming. His Thai drama My Bubble Tea starring Thai actress Mean Phiravich and Manasaporn Chanchalerm aired on Viu on May 22, 2020. The Viu Original drama revolves around Manasaporn's narrn, who concoctes a special tea' in the hopes of making her boss (played by Nichkhun) fall in love with her.
In season three of Big Hero 6: The Series, Nichkhun and Day6's Jae Park played a key role as a member of the crime-fighting squad "4 2 Sing" on September 21, 2020. Dae and Hyun-ki, one half of the boy band "4 2 Sing," performed at Nichkhun, while Jae Park played another pair of twins, Kwang-sun and Ye Joon, who were also "4 2 Sing" members.
"Asia Contents Awards 2020" was hosted by Nichkhun and 2019 Miss Korea Kim Se-yeon on October 25, 2020.
In 2021, Nichkhun and Hwang Chan-sung made special cameo appearances in Vincenzo (TV series) to help their bandmate Ok Taec-yeon.
In a upcoming Hollywood film, Hongkhun Love Story, a romantic comedy directed by Keoni Waxman, Nichkhun will be starring. Nichkhun has appeared alongside Byron Mann, Dominika Kachachachun, and Kenneth Tsang. This film is based on true events and the Hong Kong Love Story follows Nichkhun and Byron Mann as the sons of wealthy families who move to Hong Kong and witness various events that teach them the meaning of love and compassion.
