E-40 made a call about Bay Cookies in 2014, and Nef the Pharaoh appeared on E-40's Sharp On All 4 Corners album. He was named by fans as the "Bay Area Freshman of the Year" by Thizzler.com in 2014. He appeared at the last held "Bay Area Freshman" concert early on. "I'm From Vallejo" was reimagined with E-40 and Willie Joe of Vallejo. Nef the Pharaoh released his album "Big Tymin'" in July 2015, which featured lyrics describing Big Tymers members Birdman and Mannie Fresh. "An homage to New Orleans bounce music," the song says.

"Big Tymin'" was a "major hit," Pitchfork wrote, "its songs are loosely structured and almost free-associative." Complex Magazine said in May 2015 that "Big Tymin'" is "a Bay-style salute to classic Cash Money... Compared to Bankroll Fresh, whose "Hot Boy" flipped a similar trick, "Big Tymin" is bright, upbeat fun, much closer in spirit to the ATLien's dour repetition." "With 'Big Tymin',' he has another clap on his hands," the Vice Media website Noisey reported on the track. Nef beats Cash Money's Big Tymers on a minimal basis."

On the Roof Vol. 4 featured "Big Tymin'" on the music webs, including "Big Tymin'." Mob Forever, a tribute to The Jacka, launched in May 2015. Nef the Pharaoh first became well-known regionally after "Big Tymin" was released in early 2015, and the Pharaohs re-released the track. In July 2015, YG and Ty Dolla $ign remixed "Big Tymin'" with the remix premiering on sites such as Hotnewhiphop.com and RapUp.com.

Nef the Pharaoh performed live on Radio Station Power 106 in October 2015, and he has also appeared on KMEL-FM. On November 6, 2015, his self-titled debut EP was released on Sick Wid It, making it one of the first shows to watch the EP online and give it a positive review, with HipHopDX also streaming it. For the EP, he held a free show in downtown Oakland. As of 2015, he was working on a line of pre-rolled joints to sell at Bay Area cannabis clubs, with plans to launch an apparel line and his own music brand KILFMB. The Chang Project, his debut album, was released.

Blow Up Bed, Nef the Pharaoh's latest album, debuted in August 2018. Pitchfork.com rated the song as "Best New Music."
