Hiro Mizushima (Mizushima Hiro, born Tomohiro Saito) on April 13, 1984, is a Japanese actor, producer, blogger, and creative director.

He appeared in a number of Japanese television dramas, including Mei-chan no Shitsuji, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, and Zettai Kareshi.

In addition, he was well known as the protagonist in Kamen Rider Kabuto's tokusatsu series.

Mizushima appears in the new film Black Butler, which is the live-action film version of the famous manga.

In the film, his birth name, "Tomohiro Saito," is listed as co-producer. Satoshi Saito (Saito Satoshi), his pen name, wrote his first book, Kagerou, which was selected as the winner of the 5th Popular Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction and was published in 2010.

Personal life

Mizushima is bilingual, with fluent in English and Japanese. He lived in Zurich, Switzerland, from 1990 to 1996). As a youth at the International School in Switzerland, he was mocked and derogated. He went back to Japan and attended Toin Gakuen's junior high school and the high school, as well as the school's soccer team. In the 81st All Japan High School Soccer Tournament, he was a regular midfielder.

Mizushima graduated from Keio University and obtained a degree in Environmental Information.

On February 22, 2009, he married Japanese pop star Ayaka. The couple announced via their office that they were expecting their first child in December 2014. Mizushima revealed on Instagram in June 2015 that he had become a father. The couple have a daughter together.

Hiro-Meshi: Japanese Home-Style Cooking, his own YouTube cooking show, debuted on October 8, 2019. In one of the aired episodes, Kamen Rider Kabuto, Yki Sato's co-star, was also featured.

Mizushima appeared on Japanese television in 2005, where he played Hiro Misawa, a minor character in the second season of Gokusen's second season. He found guest appearances in Japanese dramas, like Ame to Yume no Ato ni and a small role in the TBS drama Brother Beat in the same year.

Mizushima made a main character in the series Kamen Rider Kabuto in 2006 and appeared in the lead role in the film Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed Love.

Mizushima's humble beginnings in 2007 in Hanazakari no Kimitachi e, as well as the main role of Soshi Asamoto in Zettai Kareshi in 2008. Both dramas were among Japan's most popular dramas at the time of their airing. Bruce Banner was also featured in The Incredible Hulk's Japanese version. In the 2008 TV drama Room of King, Mizushima played Jiro Mori.

He appeared in Mei-chan no Shitsuji as Rihito Shibata, a flawless butler, in 2009. In the same year, he earned the role of Toranosuke Hayashida in the drama Mr. Yenel. Mizushima had won the 5th Poplar Publishing Grand Prize for Fiction and a cash award of 20 million yen for his debut essay, titled Kagerou, but it was later revealed that the 20 million yen prize money was forfeited. In December 2010, the book was published. Kagerou's third best first-week sales followed J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (1.191 million) and Haruki Murakami's 1Q84 Book 3 (398,000), according to Oricon's two and a half years (398,000).
