He made his acting debut in 1997 in the television drama Agri and rose to fame in the mid-2000s in Gokusen 3 and the 2007 film Koizora.

Miura made his acting debut in the novel Agri series on television when he was seven years old. He was enrolled in Actors Studio in Tsukuba and was also a member of the Brash Brats, a boy band. The threesome went on indefinite hiatus after Actors Studio's closing in 2005, and Miura continued his acting career. Ima, Ai ni Ikimasu, Unfair, Children, 14-sai no Hahaha, and Fight were among his early television appearances. He has appeared in Mori no Gakk and Akihabara@Deep. In the 2006 film Catch a Wave, Taiy Sasaki was his first starring role.
