Michael Timothy Curry (born 10 June 1956) is an American drummer.

He is best known for his long-term collaboration with singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, but he has also worked with Hall & Oates, Cher, Tina Turner, David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Sam Phillips, Survivor, The Cult, Steve Jones, and other musicians.

Early life

Mickey Curry was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He began playing drums at age 11 under Nick Forte's tutelage. When he was 13, he and two of his brothers formed The Rack. He joined the Scratch Band in Connecticut at the age of 17.

Early career

He appeared in local bands until about 1980, when he first started working in New York studios. He began working in Manhattan with the band Tom Dickie and the Desires, which was led by Tommy Mottola, boss of Hall & Oates. Mottola, astonished by Curry's work, contacted Hall & Oates to record on their album Private Eyes. He appeared with Hall & Oates until 1986.
