Career

Michael Rooney is a choreographer who has received MTV Video Music Awards for best choreography for the Björk's "It's Oh So Quiet" and Fatboy Slim's "Praise You" videos. He is now co-producer and choreographer for the hit TV show "Hit the Floor" on VH1. Rooney also choreographed the main dance scene in the film 500 Days of Summer, starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Michael also did the choreography for Miley Cyrus and her "Younger Now" 2017 MTV VMA performance.

Michael Jackson's "You Rock My World," Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head," and Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" were among his chores. Fiona Apple's "Paper Bag," My Chemical Romance's "Helena," and Bon Jovi's "Say It Isn't So" have all been included in a music video series. Dancing with the Stars, Any Day Now, Mad About You, Zeke and Luther, Saved by the Whistle, and the pilot episode of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, have all been included in television productions, which has included 500 Days of Summer, Clerks II, and The Muppets.
