Kylie Minogue Life

Kylie Ann Minogue (born 28 May 1968), more commonly known as Kylie, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and actress.

Minogue has been known for redefining herself in fashion and music throughout her career.

She has been dubbed a style icon and has been given several honorific names, most notable the "Princess of Pop."

Minogue is also regarded as the best-selling female Australian artist of all time.

She was born and raised in Melbourne and has lived and worked in the United Kingdom since the 1990s.

Minogue gained notoriety in the Australian soap opera Neighbours, where she appeared as Tomboy mechanic Charlene Robinson.

Personal life

Minogue has participated in fund raising on several occasions. "Do They Know It's Christmas" was a hit on television in 1989. To help raise funds, Band Aid II is a registered charity. Minogue and several other musicians (under the title Helping Haiti) produced a cover version of "Everybody Hurts" in early 2010. The single was a donation to support the victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Following the 2005 tsunami, she spent a week in Thailand. The 2011 Thoku earthquake and tsunami struck Japan, which was on her itinerary, during her 2011 Aphrodite World Tour. "I was here to do shows and I did not cancel," she announced, and why did I choose not to cancel? I pondered long and hard about it, but it wasn't always a "easy call" to make. Julia Gillard, the Australian Prime Minister, and she and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard were among the guests at an Australian Embassy fundraiser for the tragedy while she was there. Minogue and her family received A$500,000 in January 2020 as a result of the 2019-20 Australian bushfires, and continue to help.

Minogue pledged her help for a movement to raise funds for abused children in 2008, and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. Around $93 million was raised, according to the source. "Finding the courage to tell someone about being abused is one of the most difficult decisions a child will ever have to make," she said. Minogue is a regular supporter of amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, and it was held in Los Angeles in 2010. She has also attended amfAR fundraising events in Cannes, and she has appeared at galas for the charity in So Paulo and Hong Kong.

Since Minogue's breast cancer diagnosis in 2005, she has been a sponsor and ambassador for the cause. For the first time in May 2010, she ran a breast cancer awareness campaign. "It means so much to me to be part of this year's Fashion Targets Breast Cancer "fundament" campaign later this year. I utterly endorse their efforts to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer's vital work. "For the cause," photographer Mario Testino "posed in a silk sheet emblazoned with the brand new target logo of Fashion Targets Breast Cancer." Minogue launched One Note Against Cancer in April 2014, a fundraising effort to raise funds and awareness for the French cancer research charity APREC (The Alliance for Cancer Research). Minogue introduced the single "Crystallize" as part of the campaign, with fans able to purchase any of the song's 4,408 notes through an online auction. The proceeds of the auction were donated to APREC, with the names of the successful bidders appearing in the accompanying music video's credits.

In May 2005, Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age 36, resulting in the postponement of the remainder of her Showgirl appearances, The Greatest Hits Tour, and her exclusion from the Glastonbury Festival. Her hospitalization and hospitalization in Melbourne resulted in a brief but intense media coverage, particularly in Australia, where then Prime Minister John Howard released a statement of support. When media and supporters began to congregate outside Melbourne's Minogue residence, Victorian Premier Steve Bracks warned the international media that any breach of the Minogue family's rights under Australian privacy legislation will not be tolerated.

Minogue underwent surgery at Cabrini Hospital in Malvern on May 21 and began chemotherapy treatment soon after. "There was no recurrence" after the surgery. She made her first public appearance after surgery on July 8th, 2005, when she visited a children's cancer ward at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital. She returned to France, where she completed her chemotherapy at the Institut Gustave-Roussy in Villejuif, just south of Paris. Minogue's publicist reported she had completed chemotherapy in January 2006 and that her therapy was continuing for the next month. On her return to Australia for her show, she addressed her illness and said that chemotherapy had been like "experiencing a nuclear bomb." Minogue said that her cancer had been misdiagnosed when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2008. "Because someone is in a white coat and using complicated medical equipment doesn't necessarily mean they're correct," she said later, she expressed her admiration for the medical profession.

Minogue was lauded for the impact she made by openly discussing her cancer diagnosis and treatment. "Doctors now go as far as saying there is a "Kylie effect" that encourages young women to have regular checks," French Cultural Minister Christine Albanel said in May 2008. Several scientific studies have been conducted to see how public awareness of her case resulted in more women getting regular cancer checks. When she was first diagnosed with cancer, television host Giuliana Rancic cited Minogue's cancer story as "inspirational."

Minogue has worked in relationshops with Jason Donovan, Olivier Martinez, Andres Velencoso, and Michael Hutchence. Since 2018, she has been in a friendship with British GQ creative director Paul Solomons. She returned to Australia in 2022 and now lives in Melbourne.

Kylie Minogue Career

Life and career

Kylie Ann Minogue was born in Melbourne on May 28, 1968, the granddaughter of former ballet dancer Carol Ann Minogue (née Jones) and car company accountant Ronald Minogue. Minogue is of English and Welsh descent (although her surname is of Irish origins), and she was named after the Nyungar word for "boomerang." Brendan Minogue, Brendan Minogue's brother, is a news cameraman in Australia, and Dannii Minogue, her sister, is a singer and television host. The family used to cycle around Melbourne to cover their living expenses, which Minogue found odd as a child. She'd often sit at home reading, sewing, and learning to play violin and piano. When they arrived in Surrey Hills, Victoria, she attended Camberwell High School. She found it difficult to make friends in her early years of school. She earned her HSC in Arts and Graphics, as well as English. During her high school years, Minogue described herself as having "average intelligence" and "quite modest." She and her sister Dannii began learning singing and dancing lessons as a child.

A 10-year-old Minogue accompanied Dannii to a hearing arranged by the sisters' aunt, Suzette, and although producers found Dannii too young, Alan Hardy gave Minogue a small part in soap opera The Sullivans (1979). She appeared in another small role in Skyways (1980). She appeared in 1985 in one of the lead roles in The Henderson Children. Minogue took time off school to film The Henderson Kids, and although Carol was dissatisfied, Minogue decided that she needed the freedom to make it into the entertainment industry. Nadine Garner, a co-star, called Minogue "fragile" after producers yelled at her for forgetting her lines; she would often cries on set. Minogue was dropped from the second season of the show after producer Alan Hardy felt the need for her character to be "written off." In retrospect, Hardy said that excluding her from the show "turned out to be the right thing for her." Minogue, who is interested in pursuing a career in music, produced a demo tape for the makers of weekly music magazine Young Talent Time, which featured Dannii as a regular performer. Minogue appeared on television in 1985 for the first time, but she was not allowed to participate in the cast. In 1986, Minogue appeared in the soap opera Neighbours as Charlene Mitchell, a schoolgirl turned garage mechanic. Neighbours' popularity in the United Kingdom came as a result of a plot arc that culminated in a marriage episode starring Jason Donovan in 1987 that attracted a 20 million viewers. Minogue was the first person to win four Logie Awards in a year, and she was the country's Most Popular Television Performer" when the results were determined by public vote. She was in a three-year relationship with Donovan from 1989 to 1989.

Minogue performed "I Got You Babe" as a duet with fellow actor John Waters and "The Loco" as an encore during a Fitzroy Football Club benefit concert, as well as "The Loco-Motion" as an encore. Minogue was invited by producer Greg Petherick to record a demo of the former song, which was re-titled as "Locomotion." The demonstration was sent to Michael Gudinski, the head of Mushroom Records, who chose to sign Minogue in early 1987 based on her Neighbours' fame. The track was first recorded in big band style, but producer Mike Duffy later gave it a completely new backing track, influenced by the hi-NRG sounds of UK band Dead or Alive. "The Locomotion" was her debut single in Australia on July 27, 1987, just three weeks after Neighbours' wedding episode premiered. According to the Kent Music Report, the single became Australia's best-selling single of the decade. Minogue was flying to London to work with record-breaking producer Stock Aitken Waterman in September 1987, as a result of "Locomotion"'s success. They knew nothing about Minogue and had forgotten that she was coming; as a result, they wrote "I Should Be So Lucky" while waiting outside the studio; In less than 40 minutes, the track was written and recorded in less than 40 minutes. Despite Minogue's pleas for service with Stock Aitken Waterman having felt she'd been disrespected during her first recording session, more sessions with the singer took place in London and Melbourne, where the singer was filming her last episodes for Neighbours in February and April 1988. The trio ended up composing and arranging all the tracks on the forthcoming album, as well as a a new version of "The Loco-Motion." Producer Pete Waterman defended his decision to rerecord Minogue's platinum-selling Australian version by claiming that Minogue's platinum-selling Australian version was poorly produced, but Mike Duffy blamed Waterman's ostensible attempt to claim the fame and royalties from the track's placement of the 1988 film Arthur 2: On the Rocks.

Kylie, Minogue's self-titled debut album, was released in 1988. The album is a collection of dance-oriented pop tunes that debuted on the UK Albums Chart for more than a year, with several weeks on top of the charts, eventually becoming the best-selling album of the 1980s by a female artist. In the United States, it went gold, while the single "The Locomotion" ranked third in the United States, while the single "The Locomotion" reached number three. Billboard Hot 100 chart and top the Canadian dance charts, as number one. The single "Got to Be Certain" became Australia's third consecutive number one single. She left Neighbours later this year to focus on her music career. After a huge demand for the duet from the public, television, and stores overcame her initial reservations, Minogue collaborated with Jason Donovan on the album "Especially for You." The track peaked at number one in the United Kingdom and, in December 2014, the track sold its one millionth copy in the United Kingdom. Minogue was often referred to by her detractors as "the Singing Budgie" over the years. Chris True described the songs as "older, late-80s... bubblegum," but then added, "her cuteness makes these rather dull tracks bearable." She was named as the year's top-selling single by ARIA. The song debuted at number one in the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. Minogue received a "Special Achievement Award" for her second straight ARIA Award for the year's best-selling single and second year in a row.

Enjoy Yourself, Minogue's second album, was released in October 1989. It was a huge success in the United Kingdom, Europe, New Zealand, Asia, and Australia, with the UK number one singles "Hand on Your Heart" and "Tears on My Pillow" spawning. Despite this, it didn't sell well in North America, and Minogue was dropped by her American record label Geffen Records, and her American record label Geffen Records stopped it from being a hit. In February 1990, she began the Enjoy Yourself Tour, her first concert tour in the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and Australia. "Do They Know It's Christmas?" was one of the original vocalists on "Do They Know It's Christmas?" The Delinquents, Minogue's debut film, was released in December 1989. Critics gave the film mixed reviews, but fans were raving about it. It earned more than £200,000 in the United Kingdom, and in Australia, it was the fourth-highest-grossing local film of 1989 and the highest-grossing local film of 1990. Michael Hutchence, a 1989 to 1991 frontman for INXS, dated Minogue.

Rhythm of Love, Minogue's third album, was released in November 1990 and was described as "leaps and bounds more mature" than her previous albums by AllMusic's Chris True. The album did not have a commercial success like its predecessors, but three of its singles, "Better the Devil You Know," "Step Back in Time," and "Shocked," all reached the top ten in both the United Kingdom and Australia, despite its popularity. Minogue's "in Rhythm of Love," Ernest Macias wrote that "he conveyed a more mature and sexually fueled image." Macias also pointed out that the album "showcases the start of Minogue's career as a pop icon, highlighted by her angelic vocals, sensuous music videos, chic fashion, and a distinctive dance sound." Michael Hutchence's friendship with her was also seen as part of her expulsion from her previous appearances. This was the first time Minogue "felt a part of the creative process" was produced during the recording of the "Better the Devil You Know" music video. "I wasn't in charge, but I had a voice," she said. For the film, I had bought some clothes on King's Road. "I found a new way to express my point of view creatively." Minogue joined the Rhythm of Love Tour in February 1991 to promote the album.

Let's Get It, Minogue's fourth album, released in October 1991, and debuted at number 15 on the UK Albums Chart in October 1991. It was her first album to not make it to the top of the charts. Although "Word Is Out" was her first single to debut in the top ten of the UK Singles Chart, her followers "If You Were With Me Now" and "Give Me Just a Little More Time" also made it to the top five, with "Word Is Out" being her first single from the album's top ten, her first single to miss the top ten. In October, she embarked on the Let's Get to It Tour in support of the album. "I was very much a puppet in the beginning," she later expressed her dissatisfaction with Stock, Aitken, and Waterman, saying, "I was very much a puppet in the beginning." My record company had me blinkered. I was unable to decide whether left or right. In August 1992, her first best-of-album, simply named Greatest Hits, was released. It debuted as the first in the United Kingdom and number three in Australia, and at number three. The singles from the album "What Kind of Fool" and her cover version of Kool & the Gang's "Celebration" made the top 20 of the UK Singles Chart.

Minogue's deconstruction Records debut in 1993 marked a new point in her career. Kylie Minogue's fifth album, released in September 1994, was a departure from her previous efforts because it "no longer featured the Stock-Aitken-Waterman production gloss," with critics lauding Minogue's vocals and album manufacturing. It was produced by dance music artists the Brothers in Rhythm, including Dave Seaman and Steve Anderson, who had earlier produced "Finer Feelings," her last single with PWL. Anderson continued to be Minogue's musical director as of 2015. The album debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart and was rated gold in the region. "Confide in Me," the country's leading single, spent four weeks on the Australian singles chart, ranked at number one. "Put Yourself in My Place" and "Where Is the Feeling" are the two new singles from the album, "Where Is the Feeling?" and "Where Is the Senses? "On the UK Singles Chart, we ranked 20th on the top 20."

Minogue made a guest appearance in an episode of The Vicar of Dibley during this period. Minogue's cover photo in Australia's Who magazine was one of "The 30 Most Beautiful People in the World" and gave her a role opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in the film Street Fighter. The film was a moderate success, grossing US$70 million in the United States but receiving poor feedback, with Richard Harrington of The Washington Post calling Minogue "the worst actor in the English-speaking world." She appeared in Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin's 1996 film Bio-Dome. She appeared in the 1995 short film Hayride to Hell, as well as in the 1997 film Diana & Me. Minogue performed "Where the Wild Roses Grow" in 1995 with Australian artist Nick Cave. Since hearing "Better the Devil You Know," Cave had been interested in working with Minogue, "one of pop music's most violent and distressing lyrics" was included in the book. Minogue's song was inspired by John Everett Millais' painting Ophelia (1851–1852), and it depicted her as the swam of a serpent swam over her body in a pond. The single attracted a lot of attention in Europe, where it reached the top ten in many countries and Australia's top ten. The album received ARIA Awards for "Song of the Year" and "Best Pop Release" in ARIA. Minogue recited the lyrics to "I Should Be So Lucky" as poetry in London's Royal Albert Hall, following several concert appearances with Cave.

Minogue was in a relationship with French photographer Stéphane Sednaoui, who encouraged her to explore her creativity by 1997. They produced a graphic combination of "geisha and manga superheroine" for Minogue's sixth album, Impossible Princess, and "German Bold Italic," Minogue's joint venture with Towa Tei, inspired by a shared appreciation of Japanese culture. Shirley Manson and Garbage, Björk, Tricky, and U2, as well as Japanese pop artists such as Pizzicato Five and Towa Tei, got inspiration from their music. The album featured performances by James Dean Bradfield and Sean Moore of the Manic Street Preachers, among other things. On its debut in 1997, the Impossible Princess received some critical feedback, but Minogue's most personal and best work in retrospective reviews will be recognized. Sal Cinquemani of Slant Magazine called it a "deeply personal effort" and "Minogue's best album to date," while Evan Sawdey of PopMatters called Impossible Princess "one of the most crazed, damn-near perfect dance-pop albums ever made" in a 2008 review. Minogue, mainly a dance album, debunks claims that she was attempting to become an indie artist.

Minogue said she was prepared to "forget the painful criticism" and "accept the past, embrace it, use it" after acknowledging that she had attempted to escape the stereotypes of her early career. "Did It Again"'s music video paid homage to her earlier incarnations. Following Diana's death, Princess of Wales Diana's album became her lowest-selling album of her lifetime, renamed Kylie Minogue in the United Kingdom. "We've done something to raise Kylie's numbers, but we've banned them," a Virgin Radio campaign said at the end of the year. The album in Australia was a hit and debuted on the album charts for 35 weeks. In 1998, Minogue's Intimate and Live tour was postponed due to demand. She appeared in Australia's 1998 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, the opening ceremonies of Melbourne's Crown Casino, and Sydney's Fox Studios in 1999 (where she appeared on Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend") as well as a Christmas concert in Dili, East Timor, in association with the United Nations Peace-Keeping Forces. Cut, an Australian-made Molly Ringwald 2000 film. She played a small part.

Minogue appeared on the Pet Shop Boys' on their Nightlife album in 1999 and then spent several months in Barbados in Shakespeare's The Tempest. She starred in the film Sample People and produced a cover version of Russell Morris' "The Real Thing" for the soundtrack. In April, she signed Parlophone, a woman who wanted to re-establish Minogue as a pop artist. Light Years, her seventh studio album, was released on September 25, 2000. It's a "fun, perfectly formed" record, according to NME magazine, which culminated in Minogue "dropping her deep concern for cool and bouncing back to her disco-pop roots." It was a commercial success, with Minogue's first number one album in her native Australia. "Spinning Around," the lead single, debuted on the UK Singles Chart in July, becoming only the second artist to have a number-one single in three decades (after Madonna). Minogue was featured in a accompanying video of her gold hotpants, which were later branded as a "trade mark." "On a Night Like This," "Kids" (with Robbie Williams), and "Please Stay"—three other singles, both reached the top ten in the United Kingdom.

By Booth-Clibborn in March 2000, an extensive art book named Kylie, incorporating contributions by Minogue and creative director William Baker, was released. She began a romantic affair with model James Gooding at the time. Minogue appeared in both the closing ceremonies of the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the Paralympics' opening ceremony. Kate Samuelson of TNT's appearance of "Dancing Queen" was chosen as one of the most memorable Olympic closing ceremony moments. Following the year, she embarked on the On a Night Like This Tour, which was inspired by Broadway performances and 1930s musicals. In Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge!, she made a brief appearance as The Green Fairy, earning her an MTV Movie Award nomination in 2002. In 2000 and 2001, "Spinning Around" and Light Years received the ARIA Award for Best Pop Release in a series of years.

Minogue released "Can't Get You Out of My Head," the lead single from her eighth studio album, Fever, in September 2001. It debuted in over 40 countries and sold 5 million copies, making it Minogue's most popular single to date. The singer was seen in the accompanying music video sporting an infamous hooded white jumpsuit with a deep plunging neckline. In Australia and the United Kingdom, the remaining singles, "In Your Eyes," "Love at First Sight" and "Come into My World," all reached the top ten. Fever, a start-up company launched in Australia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom, with Australia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, and the United Kingdom a top-selling number that exceeded six million worldwide. Dominique Leone of Pitchfork praised the piece's simple and "comfortable" performance, dubbed a "mature sound from a mature artist" by a mature artist and one that might be able to re-establish Minogue for the VH1 generation. Capitol Records' first in 13 years, thanks to the warm reception the album received in the United States in February 2002. It debuted on the Billboard 200 at number three, her highest-charging album in the region, while still at number 10 on the Canadian Albums Chart.

Minogue headlined her KylieFever2002 tour in Europe and Australia, which ran from April to August 2002, to promote the album. In a series of Jingle Ball concerts in the United States between 2002 and 2003, she performed several songs from the setlist. Minogue and Gooding announced the end of their friendship in May 2002 after two and a half years. "Can't Get You Out of My Head" earned four awards at the ARIA Music Awards in 2002, including the Best Selling Single and Single of the Year. She earned her first British Award for Female Solo Artists and Best International Album for Fever in the same year. "Love at First Sight" was her first Grammy nomination in 2003, before winning the award for "Come into My World" the following year, the first time an Australian music artist had been recognized in a major category since Men at Work in 1983.

Following an invitation-only performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, Minogue released Body Language, her ninth studio album, released in November 2003. The album deconstructed the disco style, and was inspired by 1980s artists like Scritti Politti, The Human League, Adam and Prince, mixing their styles with elements of hip hop. After the success of Fever, the album's sales plummeted, but the first single, "Slow," was a number-one hit in the United Kingdom and Australia. "Red Blooded Woman" and "Chocolate" were two more singles from the album's collection. "Slow" on the United States reached number one on the club chart and was nominated for the Best Dance Recording category by the Academy of Music. In the second week, Body Language saw first week sales of 43,000 and fell sharply in the second week.

Minogue's second official greatest hits album, Ultimate Kylie, was released in November 2004. Two singles were released on the album: "I Believe in You" and "Giving You Up." "I Believe in You" was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of "Best Dance Recording." Minogue began her showgirl debut in March 2005: The Greatest Hits Tour. She returned to Melbourne, where she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, causing her to cancel the tour after performing in Europe. She underwent surgery in May 2005 and began chemotherapy soon after. After the surgery, it was revealed that she had finished chemotherapy and that the disease had "no recurrence." She will keep her medication for the next two months. Minogue released "Over the Rainbow," a live recording from her Showgirl tour in December 2005. The Showgirl Princess, her children's book, was published in October 2006 and her perfume, "Darling," was released in November. The range was then extended by eau de toilettes such as Pink Sparkle, Couture, and Inverse.

Minogue returned to her then postponed tour in November 2006, as part of Showgirl's The Homecoming Tour. Her dance routines had been reworked to accommodate her medical condition, with slower costume changes and longer breaks introduced between sections of the show to conserve her energy. Minogue was praised energetically by the media, with the Sydney Morning Herald referring to the performance as a "extravaganza" and "nothing less than a triumph" and "nothing less than a triumph." Florence was seen in the animated film The Magic Roundabout, which was based on the television series of the same name. She began her voice career in 2002 in Vancouver before being published in Europe in 2005. She reprised the role and performed the theme song for the American edition, renamed Doogal, which grossing $26,691,243 worldwide, a year later.

Minogue's tenth and much-anticipated "comeback" album, X, was released in November 2007. Guy Chambers, Cathy Dennis, Bloodshy & Avant, Calvin Harris contributed to the electro-styled album. In light of Minogue's breast cancer experiences, the album has been chastised for the triviality of its subject matter. "2 Hearts," X and its lead single, "2 Hearts," debuted on the Australian albums and singles charts, respectively. X initially attracted lukewarm customers in the United Kingdom, but its commercial success soon rose. "In My Arms" and "Wow" were two follow-up singles from the album, and they both soared inside the top ten of the UK Singles Chart. The album was nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 2009 Grammy Awards in the United States.

After meeting French actor Olivier Martinez at the 2003 Grammy Awards ceremony, Minogue began a friendship. They came to an end in February 2007, but they remained on friendly terms. Minogue was reported to have been "saddened by false [media] allegations of [Martinez's] disloyalty [innocence]. Martinez defended Martinez, who acknowledged the help he had received during her breast cancer treatment. Minogue appeared in White Diamond, a documentary that was shot during 2006 and 2007, when she began her Showgirl: The Homecoming Tour. She also appeared in The Kylie Show, which included her appearances as well as comedy sketches. Astrid Peth, a child of the Devil, co-starred in the 2007 Doctor Who Christmas special episode, "Voyage of the Damned." The episode attracted 13.31 million viewers, the show's highest viewing figure since 1979.

Minogue embarked on the European leg of the KylieX2008 tour in May 2008, her most costly tour to date, despite production costs of £10 million. The tour was generally well-received and well-sold. She was then named a Chevalier of Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, France's highest academic award, in the junior category. In July, she was officially invested by The Prince of Wales as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire. At the 2008 BRIT Awards, she was also named "Best International Female Solo Artist" category. She made her Middle East debut in September as the headline act at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai's exclusive hotel resort, and from November, she continued her KylieX2008 tour to cities around South America, Asia, and Australia. The tour went to 21 countries and was deemed a success, with ticket sales estimated at $70,000,000. Minogue hosted the BRIT Awards in 2009 with James Corden and Mathew Horne. She then embarked on the For You, for Me tour, her first North American concert tour. She appeared in the Hindi film Blue, as well as an A. R. Rahman song. Minogue was in a relationship with model Andrés Velencoso from 2008 to 2013.

Minogue's Aphrodite, her 11th studio album, was released in July 2010. Stuart Price, a songwriter and producer, appeared on the album, as executive producer. Along with Minogue, Calvin Harris, Jake Shears, Nerina Pallot, Pascal Gabriel, Lucas Secon, Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley, and Kish Mauve, Price contributed to song writing. Most music critics applauded Minogue's "finest job since 1997's underrated Impossible Princess," according to Allmusic's Rob Sheffield, who said the album is "the work of someone who knows exactly what her abilities are and who to use to help showcase them to perfection." Aphrodite debuted at number one in the United Kingdom, just 22 years after her first number one debut in the United Kingdom. The album's lead single, "All the Lovers," was a huge success and became her 33rd top ten single in the United Kingdom, but the album's subsequent singles, "Get Outta My Way," "Better than Today," and "Put Your Hands Up," failed to crack the top ten of the UK Singles Chart, fell in the top ten. However, all the singles from the album have topped the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart.

On their album "Devotion," Minogue mixed synthpop duo Hurts, which was included on the group's album Happiness. She was then featured on Taio Cruz's single "Higher." The result was pleasing, with several charts peaking inside the top 20 and affecting the US Hot Dance Club Charts. Minogue became the first act to hold two of the top three positions on the US Dance/Club Play Songs survey in February 2011, with "Better Than Today" at number one and "Higher" at number 3. To bring her music to an end, she released "Let It Snow" and "Santa Baby" on Christmas Eve, which included Christmas songs such as "Let It Snow" and "Santa Baby." In February 2011, Minogue embarked on the Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour, a trip to Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, and Africa. Critical commentators who praised the concept and stage production, praised the concept and the stage performance, with a stage set inspired by the birth of the love goddess Aphrodite and Grecian culture and history. The tour was a commercial success, grossing US$60 million and debuting at number six and 21 on the 2011 and annual Pollstar Top Concert Tours.

Minogue began a year-long celebration for her 25 years in the music industry in March 2012, which was often referred to as "K25." With her embarking on the Anti Tour in England and Australia, which featured b-sides, demos, and rarities from her music catalogue, the anniversary began. The tour was well-received for its intimate atmosphere and commercial success, grossing over two million dollars from four shows. She then released "Timebomb" in May, the best hits compilation album on record, The Best of Kylie Minogue in June and K25 Time Capsule in October, the best hits compilation album of the century. Golden robes are a "darn bold" for an artist of Minogue's long career, according to Tim Sendra of AllMusic, "The surprising thing about the album and Minogue's longevity is that she draws off the country as well as pulling off recent wave, disco, electro, murder ballads, and everything else she's done throughout her long career." Golden also received flak, with Pitchfork's Ben Cardew claiming that it "sounds like someone playing at country music rather than someone who knows it." Minogue was one of the performers at The Queen's Birthday Party, held at the Royal Albert Hall in April 2018. In 2018, Minogue began dating Paul Solomons, the British GQ's creative director.

Minogue's set featured guest appearances from Nick Cave and Chris Martin, who were performing in the Legends Slot.
