Career

Bardock made his television debut in 1992, when he appeared in Prime Suspect and the following year, he appeared in Casualty as a key gang member who set fire to the ED. Bardock appeared in the Royal Court Theatre's stage production of Mojo by Jez Butterworth in 1995.

Bardock was recognized for his appearance in the British television series A Touch of Frost as DC Clive Barnard. His uncle, the Chief Constable's nephew, was the subject of his book. Although many believe he was only CID because of his family connections, Frost sees beyond that and takes Barnard under his wing. He was later promoted to Detective Sergeant, but he was killed in the 1997 film "No Other Love." Bardock appeared in Pay and Display's short-lived television series Danny Weir in July and August 2000.

In 2004, Bardock appeared in The Bill as murder suspect Scott Burnett. His character was developed, he began a relationship with PC Honey Harman and later married her, but the marriage was short-lived after it was discovered that he had murdered his first wife. His character was later discovered to die in jail after hanginged himself. He appeared in Prime Suspect as the sadistic pornographer Jason Reynolds, as well as the Channel 4 series No Angels, in which he appeared as registrar Peter Compton. Bardock appeared in ITV's Midsomer Murders, and in May 2005, he appeared in New Tricks as DI Tom Wilson.

In February 2007, Bardock re-joined the BBC television show Casualty as paramedic Jeff Collier, before returning to the programme in September of this year. Bardock will no longer play as Jeff, a position he played for seven years, and he was killed off in October that year.

He appeared in comedy play My Night With Reg at the Donmar Warehouse theatre in the West End between 31 July and September 2014.
