Early life
Mathilde Froustey began dancing in 1994 in Dax, France, at the age of nine, because ballet lessons were very helpful for her back pains. She studied at the Marseille National School of Ballet in 1998. Colette Armand, her ballet teacher in Marseille, recommended that she apply for the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet School.
